Could of been a perfect little amp.
I want to start off saying, this one of the best sounding amps Ive owned. Not.This amp sounds super harsh on high end. Too much treble. The bass and high end is heavily compressed sounding. Lacks the punch of the older version of this same amp.Class D digital amps from Texas Instruments have come a long long way.Class D amps easily competes with more expensive class A and B amplifiers. Im running these smaller amps with about 20 volts using a Ryobi 18v battery. It doesn't distort or clip with enough dc voltage/amps this thing can shine. But this amp doesn't have the great sound of the previous older amp model. The bluetooth connects quietly, and amp turns on without a pop or thump sound, which is nice on your speakers.I'm using 4ohm speakers, it drives them well. But with power to spare. This will also drive speakers down to 2ohm loads. Could be a Awesome little high power amp with clean bluetooth sound.....but not the case with this updated amp. Some design changes have affected the sound, punch, and mid bass and high end. This new amp sounds super tinney with little bass. I used same speakers and DC power source. The older version amp with Bluetooth 5.0 sounds much much better, with a lot more bass and mid bass punch with a clean but not harsh high end treble.
