Amazing TV at the best price
We are nearly 1 year in after buying this tv and it was possibly one of the best things we ever bought. The interface is intuitive and fast, colours are vibrant and the price is amazing! We weren't expecting too much from it, as it was really cheap but the only thing low in this tv is the price! We watched countless hours of Netflix, gaming and so on and the performance is amazing in the spectrum. Sound quality is outstanding! We couldn't even put more than 26 as it's already super loud! (It would probably go up to 100) but who knows! All in all if it's a reliable tv at great price, look no further! You have very well found it :)

Don't be a sheep
I read several reviews about this model. I didn't want anything too complicated to use and that was more up to date and bigger than what I'd had. I chose the 43 inch and it's big enough for me.It has 3 hdmi ports as well as aerial port and stereo ports which is great for sky, dvd player, Wii and PlayStation.Fitting the feet was easy as I didn't want it wall mounted. The tv although bigger than my previous one was slimmer and lighter which meant I could lift it and insert all the things I needed to with no difficulties.A simple switch on and follow the instructions on the tv. Only thing is you need a smart phone to set up a roku account to get things going - it says you can use a computer. So I set up on my phone. Found out after I can control the tv with my phone!Going back to the set up - once done you can tweak it with naming your hdmi ports, changing the screen background, picture format, sound quality and that can be applied to each hdmi ie sky sound can be different to Wii sound, daughter helped me discover that.I watch my tv through my sky. I don't use the tv apps offered. So I was able to get my hand control to my sky to control to control my tv - basics for volume and channel change but it's more for volume control. The screen it's self has a small border compared to my old tv which is nice for viewing. The picture quality I find is clear and not pixilated as some larger screens I've viewed in people's homes.Sound quality. The more controversial topic of this tv. For the Wii it's great. It took me some tweaking to get it as I like for watching tv. The 'tinny' sound is something I can understand but if you have additional speakers or surround sound it's not an issue. I didn't choose adaptive sound but by choosing which type of sound I wanted - theatre - I've found the sound from talking and music is just right for me.I'm into day 4 with no issues. Nice tv, good picture and sound quality. I've played Spotify on it and the music quality has been fine, the wii music and picture quality has been great, the same with YouTube, netflix, terrestrial tv.Would I buy the tv again? For under £280 yes.Any problems or complaints? After 4 days - noneWould I recommend buying - yes5 stars or 10/10

Great TV - Terrible sound
Needed to replace our 10+ year old Sony Bravia HD tv. Having read all sorts of reviews it seemed to me that there was no point paying a fortune for a 4K TV when we don't watch any 4K content. Apart from the cost, the reviews I read often mentioned poor upscaling performance from broadcast TV and DVD to 4K screens, even on sets well over £1,000.Having decided to go for a 1080 HD tv, this seemed the best balance overall. Some of the (not that much) cheaper brands don't meet the licensing requirements for BBC iPlayer so can't get it. Make sure you read the descriptions carefully for that. This TV has a great set of the usual apps, including Freeview Play (with iPlayer and the other main channel equivalents), Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Spotify. There is also a free media player app to download which will play DLNA media server content. The Roku OS is easy to use, well laid out and very responsive. Much easier than the far more expensive Samsung we bought a few years ago.The picture is great, although the screen can be prone to reflections. On the negative side, the HDMI, ethernet and Optical connections are in a recessed area at the back which is extremely awkward to get to. I had to take the TV off the stand to get at the ports when re-arranging a couple of connections. Although this is a real pain, once it is done it is done so it is not a massive problem. What is more of a problem is that the headphone is in the same place and so basically inaccessible. The sound on the TV really lets it down. Having been reading lots of TV and soundbar reviews, a lot of them criticise the sound of really quite expensive TVs as it is not up to HiFi/Home Cinema standards. However, even for the rest of us mere mortals, the sound on this TV is BAD. It sounds really cheap and plasticky and way worse than our other TVs. It is about on a par with the 24" cheapo TV we have in the kitchen. We added a good quality sound bar (Bose Smart Soundbar 300) which cost more than the TV but is still a "lower end" soundbar. There are plenty of cheaper soundbars out there. You get what you pay for but all but the very cheapest will be an improvement on the on-board sound. With the sound fixed, this is a great TV, especially if you want a good quality nice looking TV for DVDs, Blu Ray, the main streaming channels, Freeview Play and broadcast tv and HD channels. If you are going to be watching a lot of UltraHD Blu Ray and 4K streaming then you might want to splash the extra on a 4K screen.

Lovely TV, simple set up, great picture
TV arrived well boxed and in good order, need to remove screen covering which is quite sticky but doesn’t leave any marks fortunately. Plenty have mentioned poor sound, well it is a bit tinny to start with but if you access the custom controls function by pressing the star key on the remote (middle right - *) then you can adjust to your heart’s content. Sound is actually very good on that basis. Same can be done for picture settings if so inclined. I liked the set up routine which identifies the various add-on equipment that is available these days, being game boxes, dvd players, sky box etc. you need to set-up Roku account on your mobile / PC / tablet which on activation leads to download of a suite of apps - BBC player, ITV, Amazon Prime etc….all very helpful and convenient. Overall a superb value TV. You need to be a bit tech savvy on set up and have to hand passwords / usernames etc for WI-FI, apps and all the gubbins. Happy to recommend.
