SSD Mounting Bracket for External SSD Hard DriveT9, T5, T7 to Work for Laptop, MacBook, iMac, PC, PS5, Xbox

I thought for $12, these were going to be the usual cheap plastic brackets, but I was wrong. They are very well made aluminum brackets and look good. The hook & loop fasteners are durable as well. The clamps are tight.I have 3 external SSD drives and I needed brackets to keep them off the top of my PC, because these drives get hot and the heat from the PC is not a good addition.The brackets allow the drives to "breath" and keep cool and not get knocked around.

This holds my SSD securely on the computer case, which works very well as the computer is mounted in a bracket attached to the bottom of my recording desk.

I really like the way the bracket holds the ssd while also creating nice air flow around it.

The jaws do not open up enough to hold my SanDisk SSD without extreme pressure on the edges of the SSD. That did not seem safe. The adhesive and velcro for attaching the SSD to a laptop was weak, and the stiff cable causes the SSD to tweak sideways from the pressure of the bending cable.

This is the best amount I found for my External SSD Drive.

This thing is freaking tiny...so pay attention to the dimensions. I have three SSD's and it won't fit any of them. It looks well-made, but the number of SSD's it can fit has to be very limited. Tiny!

This was very easy to install to the top of my laptop and it holds my external drive very solidly!

I got a Samsung t7 shield SSD to use with my macbook and realized shortly after that it would be a real pain to deal with unless i had some way to keep it stuck to the back of my laptop (probably like everyone else, i've learned from experience that it's NEVER a good idea to leave things dangling from my laptop).Anyways, this is actually the ONLY device i could find that seemed suitable. If you have the T7 shield ssd, it seems like it's either this mount, or one of those fabric pockets, which imo probably aren't a good idea (might contribute to overheating). If you have a different drive i think there might be less bulky options, but apparently, the rubberized coating on the t7 shield prevents anything from sticking to it (otherwise it would be way more convenient to just stick some velcro directly onto the drive itself).This mount clamps down very tightly on the drive; it may be somewhat difficult to get the drive in and out for those with dexterity/mobility issues, but the actual mount is designed to be easily removable via velcro, so you technically don't NEED to unclamp it once you got it clamped. I really like the fact that you can use this mount with other computers if you just buy some more velcro to stick it to. It's pretty handy and also cheaper than some of the other options.Update: the adhesive on the velcro failed after awhile (i had it stuck to the case on my macbook and the whole thing just fell off one day!). I eventually had to use super glue, which is working so far.
