Great deal on these Yokohamas
Darn decent tire for the price. I called around to our local Tire Shops and was not pleased with their pricing. So much for supporting Brick and Mortar businesses.... For the same price as cheap Tire Shop house brand tires and goofy named Chinese tires that the local shops offered as budget alternatives to their Premium tires, I got these Yokohamas. To me, Yokohama is a Premium tire for our Honda Accord. For the record, the Amazon recommended tire installer (a local shop) in our area was bitter that I bought these tires online. So, interview the Amazon tire installer FIRST with a quick phone call before you pay upfront for the mounting and balancing!

Very satisfied so far
The last set of tires on our mini van were smooth, whisper quiet on the highway, high quality, long lasting, name brand touring tires, and I was highly satisfied with them. After 50k miles they still had about 10k of tread life left on them, but they were way overdue a change based on build date. We use that vehicle mainly for vacations, road trips, camping, etc, and I wanted a new set with all of the same attributes but I didn't want to pay a lot for them. Not too much to ask, right?I was going to buy the same brand and model as the last set, but they're out of production. After reading lots of reviews, Yokohama Avid Touring became one of my top choices. It came down to price and value among my top choices, and in shopping around, this was the best deal I found anywhere on one of my top choice. It was an easy decision.I got them mounted just in time for a recent four week, sixteen state, 7,500 cross country road trip to visit family and do some exploring and van camping around various national parks and historical sites. The trip included lots of 80 mph western freeway cruising, but also many other kinds of roads, both dry and in varying levels of rain. In other words, it was a great test for the new tires, and I am very satisfied with the results. They are smooth, quiet, and stabile in all conditions that we encountered. We did not encounter snow and/or ice on our trip so I can't speak about their effectiveness in those conditions, but we live in the snow-free SW US and that was not an important factor in my buying decision.
