This awning works very well and is quite easy to set up, though it does require two persons. The materials are sturdy and light weight where needed. The canvas is of good quality and overall the awning works well. It can resist wind gusts up to about 20mph when unfolded and should remain sturdy when folded in during inclement weather. Overall very pleased since it truly makes life more pleasant, cooling the whole living room and balcony.

Assembly wasn’t too bad - a little hard to decipher a couple of steps and definitely needs two people. A little tricky getting it up and into place. Something to consider is the height from the top of your door to where you will secure the poles. In order to keep the door from rubbing on the awning (and fear of ripping it), we had to adjust the side poles - the ones that push the awning out or in. So now when it’s rolled up all the way the poles and awning stick out ABOVE our gutters by about 3 feet. Looks ridiculous, but the benefit we get from it down (blocking the sun) I’ll compromise on the look. We had a huge storm come through last week with close to 100mph winds and it handled it. Of course we had it rolled up, but it still stayed. Overall I’m pretty happy with it. Good solution until we can redo the porch and add on a roof.

It is very well made. You do need to put it together. But it’s very worth the time. Maybe 1hr the most. It’s very functional and blocks the sun from my Florida room. And holds many positions. Going to see how it handles the weather and environment, I’ll be back with follow up.

I bought this awning to try out on one of my rental properties. It provided shade while I painted the patio doors. I could definitely feel the difference in temperature when I stepped outside of the shade. If this one holds up to The Louisiana weather, I will order more for my other rentals. As of now, I love it.

Just did not reach the area of my house where I wanted to put it at max setting. Other wise this was easy assembly and product looks durable. Make sure you triple check the measurements where u want to put it

I put it together myself. Only needed help to put it in position under the eaves. It does require a couple of tools, a hex wrench was helpful, a regular wrench and a small Phillips head screw driver. Screwing in the small screws was a little tough--I was afraid I might strip them, but after 3 or 4 slow hard turns they went in. I got one extra screw in the package, WAY better than one less. I appreciated the extra. I thought there was a rubber end cover missing, but went back through the plastic packaging and found it.One tip, I marked in Sharpie the part number on each item since the part number was only on the bag. If I have to take it apart and reassemble, that should be useful.The instructions were pretty good, just a couple of things weren't clear but I figured them out by looking at the finished drawings.Only installed it yesterday, seems to be working fine. I'll follow up later if any unexpected events happen.

The media could not be loaded. I needed a shade for my potting bench on the pool deck, and this does the job well!Pros: easy enough to set up even by myself, and easy to useCons : when unfurled, the front edge drops all the way down to the anchor point on the side arms which is inconvenient if I need to get out of the potting area, and don’t leave out out in windy or rainy weather or it will get damaged, possibly irreparably.Just make sure to roll it up when not in use and you’re golden.

Absolutely love this purchase. It works great at blocking the sun from our slider and providing shelter from the rain. Some reviews said this ponds water when it rains. That is only so if the support arms are not adjusted properly on the bars. Sliding the support arms lower or higher will adjust the awning straight outward or at a downward slant. Completely customizable.
