Gel PressPetites, 3" Hex Oval Rectangle 10812-HEX

This is probably a good item but i was planning on receiving a set with a hexagon. I haven't used it because I need the hexagon. Very disappointed!

I like to work small, so these "mini" gel plates are perfect. Gel Press is a top notch brand. I cannot tell the difference between my Gel Press plates and my Gelli plates - except the price. I appreciate the reasonable price on the Gel Press plates and will definitely buy this brand in the future.

These are great for working small. I don’t have a lot of space, and sometimes I don’t have much time to work, so these minis were a surprising way to work around those limitations. I can sit down and quickly add blocks of paint (nice thin layers that dry fast) to a journal. I was able to quickly experiment with lots of textures and colors to see what i like best. I layered shapes on a single sheet of paper with minimal effort—the alternative would have been to stencil these shapes onto a larger gel press, then print them. That would be fine, but this is faster. AND—you can get nice crusty paint edges on the edge of the gel shapes that you wouldn’t get with the other method.I was afraid I wouldn’t use these that much, but my experience is exactly the opposite. I’ve seen where folks use these shapes to print blocks of color into patterns on fabric. That will be great to try, too. More handy than I would have ever expected.Update August 2019Added pic of using these in a journal.

This product was great and offers a fun spin on using gel plates. The shapes are a perfect size and love that this comes with 3 different shapes. (Each one is about the size of the palm of my hand.) These can be good for little hands as well. I work as an art therapist and clients have been using these and really enjoying just playing with different designs. It's best to be close to running water or bowl of water to clean off the plates. Depending on how much paint is used you may end up using lots of paper towels for cleaning without much water. It doesn't take much paint to cover the surface- 2-3 small drops- too much more and it gets messy quick. If you don't have a brayer- a paint brush can work just as well to cover the plate. I would suggest washing the plates right after each use. Some paints may slightly stain the plate but it doesn't affect its performance. I keep the plates sandwiched between the acetate sheets they were delivered in and store in a plastic storage container.

This is a good set to have. I now have 3 gel press petites. I use it mainly for my mixed media pages. The wings I attach to people, magazine cut outs and just about anything. The chevron and drop are for patterns or backgrounds - I use them with stencils to create even more interesting patterns

So easy to print masterpieces in multimedia. Easy to handle, easy to clean.

This product makes monotype printing easy to explain to kids.

When I first received my package it was missing the hexagon plate. Because I purchased it on Amazon I returned the item and quickly received a replacement with all of the plates. There was no shipping charge for sending the product back. I love these gel press plates with these shapes that I can use in my art journal. They are high quality and easy to use and clean.

I am loving these gel printing shapes. Easier than making a masked template. Great for small printing projects or using like a stamp for larger artworks whete you use a repeat.Bought on offer, so super pleased

I love these either for printing small items like labels or cards, or used on larger items pieces as stamps. Just attach them to your normal, clear plastic stamp pads (no glue!) by suction and use them as stamps. Put on masks, dab in ink and you have little stamps. Mine will be well worn. They could also be used as child sized mini plates for little fingers.

I have a number of gelli print plates and I love them. I thought these would be a bit bigger even though I knew their sizes. I find it hard to brayer paint on them but its my inability to cope that's the problem. Excellent quality, very thick and springy. Don't buy substandard plates that offer a hard plate with no spring in them. They are a waste of money and don't offer a print on using. These are the best.

The more I use gelli plates the more I fall in love with this art practice. I have been wanting these petites forever and now I have them they are a huge asset to my art: I can print with them and I can stamp with them too. Having these small plates added an extra dimension to my craft.

I'm not an expert crafter!! Barbara from clarity made it look really simple and I copied her but my colours didn't print as well as I wanted. My colours were too wet and not even. I accept it is my level of skill. I did enjoy using them and will experiment more. It was fun to use something different.
