Was not sure about this item, was the filter made of the same materials? I decided to weigh it and compare it to the original. I knew that if it weighed the same as the original then all the materials used in its construction were the identical to the original. I can report that they both weighed exactly 449 grams. I recommend to take your time when installing this filter, you want to point the bottom part of the filter with the black base down into the filter housing and then slowly turn the filter and move it into position. The same goes in reverse for removing the used filter, if you do it methodically its simple and quick. Great product, highly recommended.
