I have the original himi 56 white one, the other large white one with large containers and small containers mixed, I have the 48 color dual container set and the 24 color set, and now this. Not only do I love Himi gouache but I will buy genuinely anything if you put it in pastel colors.Do I understand that all I need to do to mix pastels is add white? Of course I do. But it’s my money and if I want a pastel gouache set then I’m going to buy it. I adore these things. There is no better practice gouache in the world. I have a set of expensive Japanese gouache tubes but I am always so afraid to use them. With Himi they’re so adorable and fun to use- and I don’t get that “too precious/expensive to use” feeling that really holds me back from experimenting. With the prices of these palettes, I see nothing wrong with buying a set that comes in a beautiful color palette that gets me inspired when I look at it. Just in time for spring. If you have a young aspiring artist this would make an excellent gift for Easter etc. I’m a grown woman in my 30s that still gets plenty of use out of Himi gouache palettes. They’re perfect for sketchbooks and studies and just for fun when I want to create something pretty.

i already love the brand, but the pastels are a lovely addition to my collection! the paints are high quality with a suitable amount of working time before it dries. it can be a bit difficult to learn to use if you aren't already familiar with the medium, but they are wonderful paints worth the price. no leakage, easy to use.

This pastel gelli gouache is really fun and the colors are very pretty. While this isn't "artist grade" gouache, the quality is very good for the price and what it is. It comes with 3 nice brushes and a plastic mixing palette. I will use it for fun art to casual art or maybe if something turns out great, I'll just reproduce it for prints. Highly recommended! (in the 2nd photo of the set, I had not yet stirred the paint in each cup.)

Mine was missing the brushes, even though they’re included in the listing. The palette was also warped.But the paints are good colors and they’re easy to use!

Colors care great but the cups are a little tricky getting out of the case. When you open the cups try to not push down on the seal are when you finally get to open you may wear paint. I learned it with blue fingers and fingernails.

The paint looks nice, and everything was closed and sealed nicely but there were no Paint-brushes as it was shown in the photo. There's still a space for brushes to be in the container but it was empty and there were no brushes in the package either.

colors are true to the photo. A nice addition to a regular color pallet of gouache. They are low to no odor, spread deliciously. Very opaque.
