This is a great set! Good quality, a lot of details and nice pictures giving even the names of all the guys.Highly recommend.

I was not quite sure of what to expect for this set but I was quite pleased.Presumably, this unit represents a 3rd "battalion of attachments" that was reconstituted from stragglers after the retreat from Corunna and took part in the subsequent campaign to recapture Portugal. While there actually were two BOA in the historical record, this particular group and its unit history are almost certainly apocryphal. The name of the sergeant is suspiciously like the villain in the Sharpe novels :)The figures themselves are made of resin, are extremely detailed, and have almost no flash. Also, with resin figures, you will need to prime them carefully to get the best paint coverage. Only the Color bearers require a bit of assembly, as the flagpoles are metal and you need to glue them onto the appropriate figures and add the tassels. The box contains instructions with full color flags.The basic structure of the unit is an infantry unit with a 4 figure color party and musket armed infantry, a leader mounted on a mule :) and his dog. All of the infantry are in a "shoulder arms" position, but this is where the similarity stops. EVERY figure has a different head, pack, and basic look. There are even patches on the clothing. The instruction pamphlet gives each figure a unique name and history as well as specific painting instructions. I have never seen this in a set of miniatures except for individual character figures. I am looking forward to painting these.

Excellent figures in 28mm. Great detail and sharp folds and facial features. Very little clean up is needed, just trim the bottom side if the bases and they are ready for priming.Recommended by a long time modeling buff.
