I have a rather difficult shower to enter, with steps up to it and a wide step over the edge of the tub. When I saw this bar and the range of height, I wasn't sure this grab bar would work. When I posed the question on Amazon with the specific dimensions I was dealing with, I was answered by the company, assuring me it would fit. It does fit. It was easy to install with two people, can't imagine doing it alone.It is very sturdy apart from the plastic sleeve which covers one joint, It cracked when I grabbed it getting into the shower one day. On another occasion the bar definitely took the full force of my weight as I stepped in and slipped big-time. It undoubtedly saved me from a major injury. I only came out with a few bruises from where my leg wrapped around the bar in a rather dramatic way.

What I really like most about this Stander Wonder Bathtub Pole Lite is that it has a wide grip area across my ceiling once in place. I was concerned that it might slip with a larger weight and there is some minor movement, but the footprint across my ceiling is big enough that I have not noticed many issues.

These are fantastic! We install these often. They are sturdy, easy to install, safe!! Don't wait till you or a family member falls. Help prevent falls by installing safety bars. So important!!

So now I feel much safer getting in and out of the bathtub.This mounts on a standard type tub and it is tension mounted between the ceiling and tub. You need a flat ceiling, not a cathedral type ceiling. The instructions were pretty easy to follow, the hardest part was making sure it was level.Now the instructions state that a split shower curtain or double shower rod is needed for this pole to work correctly. If you don't use a split curtain or double rod, then water will pool right onto your floor. But I didn't want to add another rod, and buying another liner just didn't make sense to me.This is my fix for that problem. I installed the pole exactly where I wanted it to be. Then took a scissors and cut the shower curtain liner (NOT THE CURTAIN). I cut it from the bottom of the liner, directly in front of the pole. I made the cut go up high enough so that each side of the liner was hanging inside of the tub with no gaps. I did not cut the liner from bottom to top as that wasn't necessary, but if you decide to use that option instead, cut it as much as you feel is appropriate for your situation.After doing that, I was ready to go. No extra expense for a new shower rod or new liner. I was happy with the fix and the cut isn't seen because the liner is behind my shower curtain.This is a very useful addition to have in the bathroom. I now feel more confident that I can take a shower if no one is home. I used to worry that I might fall. This lets me do what I need to do on my schedule and not have to wait for someone else.I highly recommend this grab bar/pole.

I was surprised at the weight of the box when this grab bar arrived. At 21 lbs, it weighs more than my upright walker and not a lot less than my wheelchair. But boy is it solid and sturdy.The bar is easy to install - we found it's much easier with two people. The bottom part goes over the side of a regular bathtub, and the top of the bar is pushed up against the ceiling and tightened. This pressure against the ceiling is what keeps the bar from sliding. I was a little worried at first, but the bar has not shifted one bit since we installed it. The grab bar is large and easy to use, and has been such a help for getting into and out of the tub.We're very happy with this order. In fact, we like it so much, we're thinking about getting a similar pole from this seller that goes from the floor to the ceiling and can be used in other rooms.

This grab bar is very well made and once installed isn’t going anywhere. I use it for assisting myself when washing the dog or other things in the spare bathroom tub. It helps for those with backs that give you problems with leaning over for long periods of time. It installs easily and is very stable. This is a good buy.
