Great "Mushroom Style" popcorn. Read review for method for big, textured, mushroom popcorn
These are great "mushroom style" popcorn kernels. I'm not sure what's going on with the people who have left negative reviews, but I have no issues with getting them to pop big textured mushroom style popcorn. I know that you need to use a oil that has a very high smoke point so you can have very high heat to pop them. I use coconut oil and make sure it's screaming hot before I put the kernels in. You also need to make sure that the moisture being released when the kernels start popping (steam) can be vented out of the pot, that steam will cause the kernels to not pop as large as will the oil not being VERY HOT. You can't get the full mushroom pop in something like a hot air popper, so just a FYI. I got the smaller bag to see if they were as good as the positive reviews said and they were.

Not what was advertised
Ordered the mushroom kernels specifically as that is what we needed. After popping the first batch, the flavor is good but this is not mushroom kernels

Just ok
I was gifted mushroom popcorn from the Chefs store aka the cash n carry store… the popcorn from there pops much bigger than these ones. And it tastes better too. I just can’t use that in bulk 35 lb bag. Anyhow, this is to expensive. I don’t think it’s worth it. I won’t be buying this again.

Not the best, large hulls
Very disappointing: the popcorn was full of large hulls which makes it hard to eat and enjoy. It did pop "mushroom"-size kernels! If you do not mind hulls, it may be worth buying. Rather poor value for the cost, since I have to give it away.

Love this Mushroom Popcorn
while I knew there was a different shape of the popcorn that is used for kettlecorn verses the kind that is served in movies or that you can pop in the microwave, I didn't know the names- Mushroom ( has to do with appearance and round shape, while the other kind is Butterfly- microwave and movie popcorn- splays out in a butterfly/flower shape. This is great popcorn. I'm sure it would work for Kettlecorn as I think Uncle Myron's sell other types of popcorn like kettlecorn. And I don't use a hot air popper. though I might be springing for one of those soon as they're not that expensive. What I do is put the corn into a glass measuring cup, cover it with Plastic wrap and pop the kernels in the microwave--- that works, and the popcorn is nice and puffy the way Mushroom popcorn ought to be. I've learn to like to eat popcorn without loading it down with a whole cube of butter. took a while to get here, but I want to taste the popcorn, and it's good, real good.Get some, try it out in the smaller packages and see if you'll think so too.You can alway add butter, or hot sauce or pop corn flavoring later.Really it's good as is.Thank you Uncle Myron'snot too much so most if not all the kernels can pop, and

The packaging broke in transit and If it were not boxed, the kernels would have been lost.
These kernels popped beautifully, and nearly completely, using medium heat on a gas stove top. I made kettle corn out of the whole package and shared with friends, turned out perfect and got rave reviews from them all. I will be ordering more. Just wish the packaging (bag) was sturdier, I used every kernel that spilled in the box, because I was heating / cooking I felt it was safe for consumption.I ordered mushroom popcorn from 3 different suppliers and made the popcorn using the same pan, oil and temperature. Even though this one was slightly more expensive, it is worth it.
