Good results but frustrating prep.
I didn't realise this OSDUE water Marbling Paint required so much prep work before letting the kids get their hands on their art project. The paint is made of powder and it requires to be mixed and left for several hours before the fun can begin. If you're super organised, that's no issue, however I can be a bit last minute, unfortunately I produced the box and said 'shall we do this' only to discover that the we couldn't get started until actually the next day! However, despite the suspense, my young 'runs did enjoy the art session, making patterns and mixing shades in what I'm going to tell myself is a purely educational way.Luckily being water based it does not seem to stain, so although we got a bit messy there were no long term effects. We don't really know what to do with the tray once the paint is mixed, it's been sitting there for longer than I care to admit waiting for me to do something with it after the event. We did however get a couple of 'artworks' by popping a sheet of paper onto the mixed paint, so the pattern is transferred onto the paper. It did work (there were a couple of black spots but I think we didn't apply enough pressure, evenly), and the kids were delighted. It did take a long time to dry though! All in all it is worth doing and it allows younger kids to try out different art methods and mediums that we would not otherwise had access to. So I'm pleased we gave it a go.Three stars.

Nice art but instructions need to be clearer
Oddly, when this arrived it wasn't packaged in another box or bag, it just had the shipping label stuck to the outside and while this is great for saving on packaging it did mean the labels were all over the instructions, which are only on the outside of the box. The instructions are also not clear, it does not say on the box you need to mix the powder and water and let them sit for 6-10 hours! So I filled the tray with water and then tipped this into a jug and poured on the packet to find it sitting in a clump on top of the water, cue about 20 minutes of mixing and squishing the lumps against the side of the jug to get it mostly mixed in. Thankfully, while I was doing this with my son I hadn't got him ready to start so the waiting wasn't an issue.I remember doing marbling at school and I just remember it being water and ink(?) so I was very intrigued with this weirdly gel like substance and how it would work.As you can see from the pictures it works quite well, they are really bright and quite neon-y colours. You get various tools that you can use to manipulate your picture. I didn't try to do a flower or any of the fancy things depicted in the listing - not sure they're possible! Also, the bottles of colour are quite tricky to squeeze, I had to do hand-over-hand so I squeezed while my son directed where he wanted the drops.Overall, this works and is fun it just needs clearer instructions with the actual kit and not just on the listing.
