Rit Dye – 8 Oz. Liquid Fabric Dye for Clothing, Décor, and Crafts – Dark Brown (1 Pack)

Followed instructions. Hard part is getting enough really hot water. (Multiple trips to microwave with mixing bowl) results in excellent color that is reasonably durable.

I searched everywhere for a pair of purple Levi’s, don’t ask me why it was just a thing, I had to have some purple jeans.The only thing I could find was corduroy and although I like the 70s vintage style, I just couldn’t bring myself to buy purple cords. I finally gave up my search and decided to die a pair of Levi’s from my wardrobe.I chose a pair of my light wash, high-rise, wide leg Levi jeans to go with the Rit Purple dye.I dyed them in the washing machine, no mess no fuss. Afterwards I just ran my washing machine on the clean cycle.The purple dye came through over the denim just like I hoped it would. I actually prefer the over dyed look. You can kind of see the variations from the denim underneath.I could not be happier! I think they turned out fab!

This product has been around a while. One hiccup was letting it soak/dye too long...turned to a peanut butter color.

Came out darker than sage but hue was ok.

A new pair of light pants had a gum stain on the back after attending a school function. The gum was removed but left a dark stain that was partially lifted with different cleaners but still obvious. I dyed them in taupe color, and the pants were a few shades darker and blended the stain mark where it wasn’t noticeable unless pointed out. The pants were new and very good quality and were able to be worn again.

I didn’t work for me, sadly 🙁I followed the directions but y think it was not the right product for the fabric I wanted to dye, even though it said all purpose dye.
