I was throwing error code this was the fix

It does what it does.
On a MK5 Jetta, this is a fairly easy install. The sensor is located right under the intake pipe on the upper right side of the motor. I only had to take off the air box and 1 clip to swap it. Fair warning, it will pee coolant all over your engine bay if you don't drain it before hand or, if you're fast enough, just cover everything in the area with a crappy towel you don't care about.

Fixed my check engine light
This sensor was easy to install on my VW Jetta and fixed a long running cooling system CEL that mechanic insisted was the thermostat, but couldn't fix after 2 tries. We'll see how long it lasts.

Good Quality
Comes with o ring so if you are buying this temp sensor you won't have to order one separate. Have had no issues thus far as it has worked as expected.

Throws a code
Original was ok, high mileage car, just replaced for routine maintenance, threw a code and no cel light, put the old one back in.
