I like that it has a combination of USBc and USB2 ports which means I can take spare older cables with me. It worked well for me on a recent trip to Paris. Here is where adapter begins to lose points. For me the fact it claims to be incompatible with Italian sockets is a problem as North Italy is where I travel to the most. Also I would prefer to see fewer USB2 ports in favour of USB2, with this being the future. Generally I like the adapter but am questioning whether a plain old adapter 'without USB' would serve me better in future. I would say if you are travelling along and have modest requirements, this is not for you. However if you travel in a larger group and also need USB2 specifically then this adapter-charger is worth considering. I think I will be using this one very infrequently

Great item to take away on European travel, tested at home to make sure all working correctly, I already have a similar version of this and wouldn't be without it. I use mine at home with a fused converter as its so flexible, this one bought for my partner.
