I needed an easy, portable irradiance meter, and this is it.

Good for BT monitoring of solar irradiance. No units attached to n x n ensemble of measurements.

Great little product but does not go to Max rating. Highest is 2188. That’s a very far gap from 3499. Will be requesting refund.

This unit paired easily with my Samsung S20+.The app is fine, and DOES NOT COLLECT PERSONAL DATA. I'm getting increasingly picky about this. I'm happy to see that this manufacturer does the right thing.On a sunny early November noon around latitude 36 N, the unit reported 1060 W/m2 when pointed directly at the Sun.Indoors, it reads 40 W/m2 when held next to a 40w LED globe light, 1800 W/m2 when held next to a 40w incandescent globe light. This makes me think that the sensor is basically bolometric, responding strongly to longer infrared wavelengths. I've asked the manufacturer about spectral ranges for one of their other sensors, but received no reply.It seems quite INSENSITIVE to UV wavelengths. A 3W 365nm flashlight shining directly on the sensor registers as single-digit W/m2, when it should be over 1000. I DO wish it came with a spectral response curve.All the same, given the plausible readings for normal sunlight, the ease of setup, and the well-behaved app, I'm giving this five stars.
