Very Impressed!
Older craftsman here. I wanted to give these guys a review to help others find them. Let me start by saying, what a product! I’m a long time Renaissance wax user/believer and have officially converted over to being a Von Schneider wax user.It was time to order another Renaissance can when I found these guys. I ordered both because I was curious and like to compare. Most of my life I used paste wax. This is a habit that was passed down from my father. Older generations didn’t dispose of everything like folks do these days, they took care of things. Waxing tools and surfaces around the shop is a monthly chore, and a weekly one on high use items. I grew out of paste wax decades ago though when I started using a micro-crystalline wax, after friends recommended it to me.Well, over the weekend I put the Von Schneider wax through its paces. Here’s a quick list of my home/shop test items:Tool steel (Drill Press Table and Base, Table Vise)Steel (Light Fixtures and Wind Chime)Stainless steel (Shop Fridge)Coated Material (Door Handle and Lock)Wood (Hammer Handles, Kitchen stools)Rubber (Mallet Heads)Leather (Tool Pouch and Drawer Pulls)Copper (Shop Lamp)Brass (Anti-Spark Hammer Heads and Cabinet Hardware)Cast iron (Pipe Wrench)It’s easy to see, I got a little carried away. I was beyond impressed though. Everything I put it on seemed to clean up and shine beautifully. It went on smoothly, buffed out easily and clearly. I couldn’t be happier. I remember a discussion with some older craftsman friends a while back about the Renaissance wax recipe changing over the years, I don’t know if that’s true but using this Von Schneider wax reminds me of what micro-crystalline wax was like years ago.Great product. I’ll be ordering more and telling all my fellow craftsman

Wax on
Great wax for luxurious woods. Easy to use. The more you rub the smoother your piece becomes.

The good stuff
I collect custom and vintage electric guitars and am always looking for high quality wood care products. Used VS wax on a few of my show pieces and was pleasantly surprised with the finger print removal, not to mention the smooth feel on the back of neck. Applied to the pick guard and headstock and love the way it makes the guitars look. Will be buying more to apply to the rest of my axes \m/

Had High Hopes For This!
I REALLY wanted this to be my new "go to" "finish the finish" product - but I'm left very disappointed. I've used high end furniture waxes for all of my repair/refinish/restore projects (antiques), and thought I'd try something new. I read the reviews, did online research - and while there were definitely some negative reviews out there, I focused on what was good about it, and the feedback from customers who also used this wax alternative on antiques. I like that it has a long surface life - that was my first attraction, and I was impressed that museums use this (doesn't degrade finishes, etc). All that is worthy of consideration. My issue were this:1. Does not polish up well after it sets up. Smeary, swirly - no matter how long I let it set up before buffing. I tried within an hour, I tried after 24+ hrs, and it didn't make a difference... the finish was dull an unimpressive.2. Where this did buff out - it buffed to barely a semi-gloss.. barely. While that is good for some pieces, it was not what I needed on this particular semi-gloss lacquer finish.3. I went to a client's house to check on a piece I finished for her - and even though I buffed carefully before delivering it to her - I could see (with daylight directly on it) a very dull, swirly, still unstable finish that highlighted every fingerprint, every rub - it was just unforgiving.4. I've told my client I will be going back to remove all of the polish (with Mohawk's wax remover), and will refinish with regular beeswax (probably BriWax).5. No matter how light or hard I buffed... no matter what material I used to buff with.. no matter the precautions I took not to warm up the surface while buffing... the results were the same: smeary & dull.I wanted to love this... maybe on smaller projects it works wonders - I don't know. But on antique pieces that are large (desk, dresser, tables) - this just did not work like trusted furniture wax.

This slaps...as the youths say
This was my first time using VS wax. I applied it with a clean shop rag, but I could have applied it with any towel, tshirt material, or cloth. It’s very simple.I was working with a piece of Red Oak. I used tung oil and let it dry for a few days. I applied a heavy coat of VS wax and buffed it to a shine. No color or texture change. The wax did not fill any wood grain. It has a nice feel to the touch.Very happy with the results and simple to use

Best wax I’ve used yet!
Long time sailor and best thing I’ve used on my boat!Prolongs the shine of my stainless and polished bronze amazingly. Normally my bronze needs a daily polish. Hasn’t needed a polished since I’ve applied this.My varnished exterior wood should last way longer now too.We wax our car paint job to prolong our paint jobs. Why not use it on my varnish to prolong it and protect it from the sun!Best boat money spent on my boat yet!

Nice finish
This product works great. I recommend multiple coats. The can is small but it goes a long way. Enhances the wood grain and the color. Keep in mind if liquid falls on the surface after treatment it will reduce the shine and dull.
