Best NCVD I've used so far.
So far, so good. I like how positive everything on the device is; there's no guessing or hesitation in its use. The twist design is a lot better than squishy buttons that are hard to press with gloves on. The design of the lights (solid green for no voltage detected and flashing red for voltage detected) is also much better than the blinking/solid indication design found on most other NCVDs. I don't have to second guess whether the detector is on or if a wire is live when I see a flashing light for a moment, again, everything is very positive. I work in a pretty rough industrial environment, so its durability will be tested and I will update the review when/if it fails.

I like the twist on/off design, can still use 1 handed
I like that i can keep it in my pocket or side pouch and does not have an on/off button to accidentally keep getting pushed. Any (real) electrician with work seasoned hands can still twist this on or off with 1 hand just as quick an easy as any other hot stick, but entirely eliminates accidental on/ off button presses or how some hot sticks the buttons are just act funny after a while. Like theres no mistaking when this one is either on or off. Used on the job for about a week now and real happy with it, does the job accurately. Will update if it doesnt last more than a year.

Durable and great value
I misplaced my last one, and ordered this. I'm an electrician and it's part of my daily "wardrobe", hooked on my shirt, in my tool bag, works consistently well and good value for the price.

Above & Beyond
The media could not be loaded. My quest to find a replacement for my broken Mil*kee sniffer quickly turned sour. You see, an exact replacement—which would have been perfectly fine, except for the poor switch design that failed after four years of very light use—promised to take a week to arrive. On the other hand, the alternative big name brand K***n had confidence-bustingly mixed reviews.Eventually, I gave this Light Duty version a shot. While I am no electrician (just an avid DIYer who loves competent tools), I’m sure this is the holy grail: It can tell the hot side from the neutral side of a cable, and chirps assertively when doing so.The watch-style battery compartment seems to have been a design afterthought, though it turns out to be perfectly serviceable. But, I honestly thought it was broken at first, so that was the first thing I checked. As it turns out, this thing doesn’t announce that it’s On when you press the unassuming pocket clip, which is how it is activated. But, once you test it on a known live circuit **WHICH YOU ALWAYS DO, EVERY TIME** the response is immediate and satisfying. It feels more like an extension of myself than a mere tool that toots its horn at every crossing. It’s handsome, has no buttons, and is as ergonomic as you could ask for. Its predecessor was slightly more sensitive, which made it difficult to discern live from neutral. This one hits the sweet spot, sniffing through thick insulation while barking only when threatened. You’ll like this one.

By far the best one
I have 4 other voltage detectors, this one is by far the best one, the others are way too sensitive, this one works like it should, you can actually test each side of outlets, very nice to have

Junk
I received the product yesterday, and put it in my coat pocket so that I could use it on the job at work today. I keep my utility knife and sometimes a set of pliers in there. Depending on what I'm doing maybe an adjustable wrench or a screwdriver. At lunch today, I emptied my pockets, because I wanted to look at the NCVT. The tip was loose, coming right out of the yellow plastic that holds it. I thought maybe that I could just push it back in and it would click or latch in. Nope. After toying with it for a couple more minutes, it came apart in my hands. It works, kinda. The little button that selects whether it beeps is now missing. The pity of it is that it is the right size and shape. Uses widely available AAA batteries. It would be highly functional if it were more durable. But it's broken after 5 hours on the job. Junk.
