It works fine for a Canon MG3620
I have always purchased PG240 and CL241 cartridges for my Canon MG3620. Instead of buying expensive cartridges this time around, i checked YouTube to see how people added their own ink to used cartridges. Lot's of videos, and it seemed very easy. Looked on Amazon and found BCH, so I decided to spend the $9.00 for this ink set and give it a try.First, many of the YouTube video, including BCH's tells you to use that small hand drill to cut a hole into the top of the cartridge. You DO NOT need to cut a hole, so don't do that. All you need to do is pop off the cartridge lid. People don't think it is possible., but it is very easy to do. Just use a small flat/thin screwdriver and gently pry open the top lid. I had no issues and did not even scratch the cartridge. Some video tell you to use a knife to pop the lid off, but don't use a knife. Just use a small/thin flat screwdriver.Once I popped of the lid, i removed the rectangle shaped sponge from the cartridge compartment. For the CL241 color cartridge, there are three compartments inside the cartridge (one for each of the three colors). I gently fill each compartment with their respective ink colors, then i gently put back the sponge. Used scotch tape to hold the lid back on to the cartridge. Inserted the filled cartridge back into the printer and ran a test print. The printout did not show all colors, so I ran the Canon Deep Clean utility three times in case some nozzles were clogged. After that, the color printout worked just fine. You can view a color test page I attached. All worked just fine. Happy with the purchase and the ease of adding the ink to the cartridges.Notes:1. Even with the filled cartridges, the Canon printer still says Low Ink. Not sure if this is a false alarm. but I checked the web and this is normal when filling your own cartridges. No way to reset it. - that's fine2. When refilling the cartridges, it was not clear to me how much ink you are supposed to too add (too little/too much). I didn't wan t to fill it too much or else it would overflow and spill out when you insert back the sponge. So, I only filled it a third of the way. Next time, I'll probably add a little more..3. When you insert back the sponge, I wasn't sure how deep you are supposed to press it down. Should it just sit on top level of the ink or do you push it down farther so it hits the bottom of the cartridge? If so, that means that the sponge may soak up the ink.4. Be sure so use gloves. You will get ink all over your hands/fingers and it is a challenge to get ink of your skin.Update: 3/7/2020Yesterday, I had to refill my cartridges. Used the same process as when I refilled it before (my first time). I popped off the lid of each cartridge, pulled out the sponge, filled each container with the ink color, put the sponge back in, then closed/taped the lid shut. I made one mistake by putting too much ink in, which caused some overflow. One done, I used my printer settings to do a couple of cleanings/deep cleans/nozzle check. All was fine and prints outs (color and B/W) were fine. Clear color. Next time I refill the cartridges, I won't add so much ink.Overall, these ink refills supplies are great. You will save a ton of $$$.

Money saver and easy to do.
Great way to save $$$ and not as difficult as I thought. Actually very simple. I watched the recommended videos and successfully refilled both XL cartridges. Initially, I was overly cautious and did not use enough ink, but fixed that easily. Remember to find out how to reset or bypass your printer ink monitor and the chip in the ink cartridge otherwise your refilled cartridge may not work. Fir the Pixma, you just need to press the black or color button and the stop button simultaneously for about 8-10 seconds. I also recommend running your head alignment, nozzle check and ink head cleaning procedures. I did all this and my printer is producing perfectly printed pages. I estimate this one kit will save me at least $80, possibly more.I also recommend covering your work area with some type of plastic wrap or something non porous, and have some paper napkins and Q-tips ready to blot up excess ink from the top of the cartridge if you over fill. Be very careful not to point the tip of the refill bottle downward or you will have a mess to clean up. Tilt the cartridge toward the refill needle and insert the needle into the cartridge at an angle. Then you won’t have a problem. Once inserted, you can feel it stop at the sponge inside the cartridge. Withdraw the needle slightly, and gently tap the bottom of the refill bottle to expel ink into the cartridge. Once you’re comfortable doing that, you will get the feel for using slight thumb pressure to expel more ink. Take your time. Don’t be afraid to give it a try.

works well
This works great about 2 times, then have to buy new cartridges. For me I only have success refilling once or twice. Still save alot with these though.

Don't worry about getting it perfect the first time
Once you tinker with the instructions and ink levels needed it works great. I was able to save hundreds of dollars in the long run with this ink refill kit. You don't have to do it perfectly the first time , it will still work. May take a bit of practice.

Good concept but it didn’t quite do the trick.
Mixed results with these. I definitely had trouble refilling my ink cartridges - due in part to my inexperience. However, I noticed that even after successfully refilling, the ink wouldn’t last. Ultimately gave up and picked up a laser printer. On the other hand, I was able to use the ink for stamping, so it wasn’t a total loss.

I am really happy and saved money a lot!
It came with 4 bottles of ink, a mini screwdriver, and a instruction tells me to see a link to refer how to refill cartridge with ink.I choose the method to open up entire lid of cartridge. I was rally nervous till I tried it. After I filled the first cartridge, I became confident for second one already. It could get messy, so I recommend to clear up area before you start to work on. Plastic gloves and tissue paper really helped me. A little hard part was 3 color cartridge. When u take an ink bottle upside down, some liquid drips, so I spilled some ink to the other compartment. Even I am not sure if it’s recommended by seller, I just took sponge out and use tissue paper to absorb wrong color, and filled it with right color. When I tried to put cartridge back to printer, it gave me an error messages couple of times. I am not sure what it was, but I tightened up the lids and scotch taped really good, error message went away. I basically print documents so it really does not matter if some ink mixed in wrong compartment. I am not sure how much it affects when you want to print photo. It might require more careful work when refill cartridges. It seems like I can fill few more times at least. I am so happy that I do not have to pay over $30 every time ink run out.
