A solar powered light you can switch on and off without caring if it's dark outside
So glad to finally find a solar light that can be turned on or off like a regular light, regardless of whether the sun is shining or not! It has some automatic modes, sure - but I just care about the buttons that say ON and OFF. Oh, and the brightness one - it comes on quite bright, but you can boost it up to max, which feels good. There's no housing for the remote control, so I made my own (see pic).Removing the light from the mounting bracket (or putting it back) is a bit fiddly and could do with a quick-release system, as the light works wonderfully as a portable mini-floodlight for night-gardening. It's extremely white light however, so I would choose something warmer for ambient use.Dropped it once, it didn't break. Light hasn't faltered yet after a fair amount of use and not much sunshine. Excellent product, I recommend it.

Cold light but does the job.
Powerful enough for my 10'x6' potting shed for evening work.

Shed light
Can’t fault this light easy to install doesn’t require much sun which is a good thing I suppose and gives off a good lux level

No good unfortunately.
We needed a solar light for our quail shed so finding this one with a timer was perfect! For the first few days it would come on when it was almost dark then go off 4hrs later with the timer. Excellent, just what we needed!Since around day 4 of using it.. we check it's 100% charged before it gets dark, press no3 (on all night), dim the light down as far as it can go and press 6hr timer. 1hr later the light is off and doesn't come on again until the following night. It's such a shame we're having to return it. We set it on the best settings so the battery doesn't run out before the timer does, yet we struggle to get past 1hr light on a full battery. Maybe it's just faulty.. who knows..

Only 2 out of 3 light panels working properly
Took a long time up and down a ladder to install this in my garage. It works fine except that one of the light panels stays very dim when turned. This means the back half of my garage stays in constant darkness. Not impressed.

Bright light when fully charged.
One major drawback with this light is that you can’t charge it up by the mains. It charges by solar panel, and when there isn’t enough sunshine for a few days the charge runs out and you’re left in the dark. :-(
