This product is pretty good. It's not the best saffron I used, but the cost / value proportion is amazing and I will order again. It has more than good results, and to have a higher quality spice you'll have to spend twice the money, but it won't be twice good as this one.It will be my main supply of saffron for the foreseaable future.

It is very difficult buying saffron online, as you only have an image and reviews to form a decision on, but this saffron was very good in terms of colour, flavour and aroma.The threads were all red, large and well formed.Will definitely be buying again.

Also a staple requirement. The quality seems fine. Saffron makes all the difference to rice andmany fish dishes.

It was good and effective

This is really wonderful stuff.The package i received contained highly selected 'tips', the tiny and most potent parts of the saffron. In terms of flavour and concentration this stuff is much better than the vast array of dodgy Spanish saffron I've come across recently. It's a relief finally to find a great source of high quality saffron that lives up to its description - this is the real deal.Most of the Spanish saffron I've come across this year is of poor quality, is incorrectly labelled as to its category, or worst of all contains dyed parts.The big tell with these always seems to be that the saffron sticks together in a 'mat'. Category 1 (the best) saffron consists only of the tips. Dyed or extraneous pieces will tend to shed their colour when pre-soaked; the best saffron does not.

This is definitely real saffron (unlike the one I bought elsewhere recently, see my other reviews).Great value for money and tastes great. My only criticism is the packaging, the little 1cm (if that) little petri-dish like container with a fairly loose fitting lid means that, one wrong move and the whole lot could end up everywhere.I've decanted it into a little glass jar to avoid any potential tears and heartache should I accidentally dump 32 quid's worth of saffron all over the floor.

Just received our saffron packages today. We are incredibly happy, subsequent to this saffron illustrating it's genuine authenticity. We enjoy saffron in hot water as a drink and true to form the water turned yellow, whilst the threads simultaneously remained red, demonstrating this products high quality. According to recent psychological research, studies have indicated saffron's beneficial qualities in combating depression and this empirical evidence has motivated our purchases. Thank you.

This was genuine 1st grade Iranian saffron, not the rubbish they pick off the floor and wash. Very fragrant and flavourful. Good price too
