My dad was using a twin sized hospital bed which was way too small for him and very uncomfortable. This bed was life changing for him. Staff at his assisted living say it has also been much easier to get him in bed.The only negative is the company TFORCE that delivers the bed will not communicate with you. The tracking on Amazon was not accurate. If you order this bed and need to know when it will arrive, be sure to google the delivery company and check tracking on their website. Also they will not bring the bed inside or contact you prior to delivery. We were able to take it apart outside and bring it inside in pieces. Assembly was not too bad just cumbersome.

The bed is great but getting into and out of it is painful. The bars to hold the mattress in place hit me right behind my knees when I sit on the bed. It helps to lower the bed way down but this is just bad design. I will try to find something to pad the bars. It probably should have an 8" mattress. The reason I bought this bed is that I sometimes need assistance in getting in or out of bed but this sure doesn't make it easy for me.

At tast it has been recognized that wide beds are needed by some people who aren't heavy enough to qualfy for bariatric beds designed to support extremely high weights. I am bedbound and sit halfway up all day. I'm a large person but well below Medicare's weight requirement for a bariatric bed. I was able to borrow a 42" bed from another source but I still hadn't room to move or set anything beside me and i felt confined sitting so close to the railings. This bed expands to 48" which makes a big difference. Furthermore, it's attractive, of high quality--and affordable! It has vastly improved my quality of life.

A large dent in the metal frame made assembly hard. Had to be put together because of need.

Moms in assisted living and we got her this bed since it’s wider than the hospital bed she had. Since they do not allow restraints such as bed rails it was for her safety. This bed is robust! I mean it’s made for a very heavy person so it’s sturdy and well made. Mom loves it and so do her caregivers. The all electric remote is great. Bed goes down nice and low to get her up and she’s able to eat meals sitting up in bed. Assembly was a breeze. Delivery was perfect our driver went above and beyond. Thank you!
