Works well.
I bought it "used"; but it seemed to be brand new in the box. I got it for a great price too...Much lower than new.

UPDATE Knock off a star WAS: Cute. Not as great as the real thing; not enough features .
UPDATE I had to come back to this review, 9 months later, because I do not like the way the receiver has an edge to it, instead of being flat, the way the receivers from the 1960s and 70s were, so you could prop the phone on your shoulder to free up both hands, I find I cannot use this phone without being able to do that, so I am making it 3 stars now.Original review: The sound quality was very, very good. The received had an edge to the top of it, so scrunching your shoulder to your ear to hold it in place does not work like the 1970s ATT phones did - I found it would slip sideways. The push buttons where the rotary dial numbers would have been looked CUTE in the Amazon page but using them to dial is not cute. It takes looking at it and being careful to dial a number - and with 10-digit-number dial these days, it is a pain. I may get used to the placement and get my rhythm back - or I may just answer calls on this handset. The weight is a good-ish approximation of an old AT&T phone. It is clearly Plastic, but sturdy. Also, the receiver cradle is flush and is pushed down, so leaving a note there is problematic. The is no way to access Caller ID info and I cannot see the numbers I have pushed, either - that is exactly like to olden days!! There is a button to hit for re-dial that the original did not have.

Cool looking phone
This phone looks amazing. While I can't comment on its functionality, because I haven't had a landline since 2016, the phone itself looks the part. It's a great display piece and looks amazing on a classic roll-top desk I have in my office. Visitors love it.

Full of Rich History
The media could not be loaded. This Phone takes me back to the days when the phone was beautiful with its body and shape and not like today phones which are mostly square shape phones. These phones are not as convenient as today phones as you can carry today phones anywhere with you in the house and even go outside. But these old phones have that beauty of the curved body and the classic big handle. That big handle is needed today for many people with big hands and these phones are easy to hang up as you just put the handle down. It won't slip out of your hands like some of today phones. It also gives you the security of never losing your phone. Its right there every day showing its classic beauty of yesterday and reminding you of those golden years. It's charming and the phone works well. There is no stiffness in the push button dial buttons and easy to see. But I do wish they made the phone to light up the numbers. Still, I can see the numbers fine as they have a soft glow to them. This phone looks just like the classic 1960 phone except for the rotary dial but they did add everything else to remind you of the golden years of yesterday. The body and face and head of the phone is thick and sturdy and will last a long time. The phone comes with everything needed to plug it into your phone jacks. I also like it that the buttons are round on the face of the phone and that also gives this phone closer to the rotary dial 1960 phone. And just like an old painting its beauty is the spotlight in a room full of rich and vibrant history that we treasure. The phone operation works great with clear sound in and out and it has a decent ring tone that I simply love.

Fun landline phone
I thought this landline was so cute when I saw it. The volume is great and the sound is clear. It's a pushbutton phone not a rotary. It does come with a redial button. I mainly bought it for the look. It doesn't have caller ID or come with all the bells and whistles of todays phones, but it puts a smile on my face whenever I use it. Just remember you can't walk into another room, it's stationary and the cords aren't long. I have other cordless landlines for ease of movement. This phone is pretty much for nostalgic reasons. For a stationary basic landline phone, you can't beat it.
