Advertised as GE compatible but required force to install. Still sits crooked in my microwave.

Exact Branded Replacement for the Toshiba 2M248J Magnetron.
The old magnetron in my Kitchen Aide (Model KCMS2255BSS1) microwave had corroded and was sparking. I was considering buying a new microwave but decided to see if I could do the replacement myself after seeing how much new built in ovens that were similar cost..This was an exact drop in replacement for the Magnetron that had gone bad. Zero issues bolting it in and getting the oven operational again. Note: Doing a replace does require some knowledge of small appliances and electrical experience. There can be a shocking hazard in some older microwaves that don't have a grounding resistor on the capacitor (Mine did.)

Know The Mounting Holes of Your Mag
No problems and heating fine, the neon light bar I have lit in the same areas as the old unit. I searched the model number on the old mag and the Toshiba new model has only 4 mounting tabs. Note the picture has a model number ending in JJ and has the metal strips on each side. My built-in GE needed the strips. I went with a brand name and paid a bit more. All mags are tested at the factory and guess where the failing units end up.

Worked perfectly
My Breville microwave stopped working after 5 years of use. Based on my research everything pointed to the Magnetron. Upon inspection one of the magnets had separated. I ordered this magnetron to replace the faulty magnetron. Simple installation and everything worked perfectly. Much better compared to buying a new microwave.

Failed after couple days
We replaced our faulty one at home and worked for couple days and not working after that

Fixed my Microwave not heating.
My microwave stopped heating. I checked the diode and anything else. Magnetron tested good, but they can fail and still test good. Sure enough this fixed my issue of not having heat. Oem lasted 3 years. Hoping this one lasts much longer.
