Q: Will this fit a classic wood stock Mossberg 500?

This side saddle carrier is for the 20 gage version mossberg 500. The mounting holes are designed to fit the 20 gage action on the opposite side of the ejection port on the shotgun. Don't try and mount it on the stock, it does not go there. There are carriers made just for the stock, this isnt one of those carriers. I have mine mounted on a pistol grip mossberg 500 in 20 gage; mine has no stock at all. The carrier comes with easy to follow instructions and you should be able to mount it in about 15 minutes. Use blue lock tite with this item

Q: Does this saddle come when any spacers to avoid any marring on the receiver, just in case I remove the saddle in a couple of months.

No, doesn't come with spacers it's a close fit.
