This is such a fun book – completely different than any other cookbook I have had before. On every two pages it shows the background information for each country with a recipe from the country on the opposite page. While you cook you can read up about the place the dish is coming from. We tried about 15 of the and they have all been good with the Cevapi from Bosnia, the Lomo Saltado from Peru and the Nasi Lemak (Malaysia) being the favorites. First I thought we would need all kinds or weird and exotic ingredients but the dishes have been pretty easy to make and the kids could help cook.

Loved this book and the author’s personal story of cooking “around the world” in their kitchen during the pandemic! Great recipes and so easy to follow! I recommend starting with the Italy Bolognese Sauce! (And pair it with an Oregon Pinot)

I just love the story behind this book. My family quickly got on board with the idea of traveling the world through food by taking one country per week for cooking or going out to an ethnic restaurant (if available). This book will be our helpful companion on this journey and serve as a visual reminder if we fall off the wagon. Let the fun begin!

Good recipes, but ZERO photos. It’s a cookbook for goodness sake- there should be photos!! Mouth watering amazing photos! If I’d known it didn’t have a single photo I wouldn’t have bought this, especially as a gift! Just disappointed.

This was a present for someone special who’s a very good amateur chef. They like it very much.

Just started looking at the cookbook and I already found an error on page 385 for plov. In the instructions it mentions turmeric, but turmeric is not listed in the ingredients. This makes me concerned about the other recipes.

It's a recipe book but, unlike the pretty ad, is simply black and white text. I should have previewed it first; it's unlikely to appeal to our readers.

The food sounds interesting, and the information on each country was fascinating. It was a great read, I can't wait to read to again.
