BactinePain Relieving Cleansing Spray, 5 oz

I love this spray. I purchased it because I recently got my cartilage pierced, and the pain was really bad and my ears got infected, so I did some research and found this on a tattoo website. It was recommended by tattoo artists to relieve ear piercing and tattoo pain and to prevent infection. It really works well, and it has a numbing agent in it that numbs you to the pain. This was a godsend after weeks of pain, misery, and lack of sleep. When your ears are first pierced, they hurt too bad to touch them, so you will need a spraying agent like this. I highly recommend this product

I bought this product specifically for the pain relief. We were at an amusement park several years ago and my child skinned his knee. I asked for a Band-Aid and they brought out a team of paramedics! This was cleaning spray they used. Alcohol and even hydrogen peroxide burn a lot and kids tend to be very leery of them, rightfully so. This stuff not only disinfected without burning, it actually has some numbing/pain relief in it! I had it ordered before we even left the park and have used it faithfully since. Recently a friend fell on a hike and I ordered another bottle to leave in my car. I ended up with a wasp sting this week and it actually helped relieve the pain when I used it. Highly recommend.

My cat accidently clawed my leg (thinking I was another cat sneaking up from behind). The claw went directly into my vein. The next day my leg became so swollen that I couldn't walk. Went to the Dr. had penicillin shot and prescription for antibiotics. I had an open, infected wound for the next 3 months that kept getting larger. Unfortunately the wound got little air since I had to keep it wrapped when I went to work. I washed it every night and morning but also had to keep it wrapped at night. Not being a Dr. person I tried Neosporin, Iodine, Hydrogen Peroxide, Alcohol, Honey (not the pure Honey, which I needed), Whiskey - everything but the kitchen sink. I had BACTINE but didn't try using it because it was so old. One of my cats came home with a wound so I went and bought a new bottle of BACTINE, sprayed it on my wound and within 3 days the wound on my leg was healed. All I can say is that BACTINE saved my leg.

This stings as you apply it but does dull the pain for a little while. It works well for cleaning a wound and minimizing the pain. I don't know how long it's supposed to work but pain comes back within a couple of hours. The way the lid lock works is kind of a nuisance. You have to push in a spot to turn part of the lid to expose the spray nozzle. It's easy for the sprayer to turn while unlocked, and often it will turn while you're using it and the spray will be blocked by parts of the lid, wasting some of the product and getting it all over your hand. Sometimes it will stick and the spray nozzle will not push down, even while unlocked. It also has a tendency to rotate back to the lock position mid-use, which is annoying. Once you have the spray nozzle cooperating with you it's a good product. I wish they would change how the spray nozzle works though.

The spray nozzle is a tad difficult to use, buy once you get the hang of it, its fine.This product is great, been using it for years.

I love the non-greasy antiseptic Neosporin. But my store didn’t carry it when I went to buy another. I use it on my cartilage pierced ear. So this product from Bactine is the same formula. It’s a bigger size, overall 1/2 the price of the Neosporin. I bought it and refilled my foaming bottle. Very happy. Feel exactly the same.

Excellent old-time remedy love it

I purchased this after no longer finding it in any of the stores I typically shop. I remember using this product in the early 60's and it is as good as it ever was!This product is outstanding for use on children who sustain minor injuries and who are afraid of putting anything on the injury.Most products sting or when when applied but this one has always been painless and it soothes the injury very well.
