Knorr Rice Cup Garden Tomato Risotto 8 ct Delicious Rice Dish No Artificial Flavors or Preservatives 2.6 OZ

I am always hesitant to try any instant or quick rice which can be microwaved, because those products usually don't taste very good. Recently I tried some Ben's Ready Rice, and it was disgusting. But this Garden tomato risotto from Knorr really surprised me. It is pretty good. Not as good as what you might get in a restaurant, but good enough that I wouldn't mind eating this for lunch when I'm busy and don't have time for a regular meal. The flavor reminds me of Spanish rice, which I have had many times in Mexican restaurants. Be careful when you microwave this. The instructions say to add water to the line and then cook uncovered for 2 1/2 minutes in a microwave. If you do that you're probably going to make a mess inside your microwave that won't be fun to clean up. I highly recommend covering this cup with something, whether it's another dish that you can put over the top of it or just a paper towel. As long as the cover isn't airtight, you will be fine. After trying this rice, I look forward to trying other products that Knorr sells. If you're looking for instant rice that actually tastes good, just order this. You won't be disappointed.

A quick meal this 2.5 ounce garden tomato risotto rice cup cooks in minutes in the microwave oven. Just remove the top of the bowl, add cold water to the fill line and stir to combine. Then heat in the microwave for 2 1/2 minutes and let rest for 3 minutes. Add a side of vegetables to complete the meal. The flavor is rich and enhanced with a variety of cheeses included in the dish. Each cup has 280 calories, 2 grams fat (1 gram saturated), 57 grams carbohydrate, 4 grams fiber, 4 grams sugar (less than 1 gram added) and 6 grams protein. .The dish contains 2 percent daily value (DV) of cholesterol and as is the case with most prepared foods it is somewhat high in salt at 27 percent of DV for sodium. If possessing sensitivities or allergies this dish contains milk and monosodium glutamate. To estimate shelf-life at the time of this review in August 2023 the Best By date is 11 months in the future but dates will vary. Fast, well-seasoned, good tasting and satisfying.

This is an easy way to prepare quick side dish. You add water to the line printed on the inside of the paper cup, and microwave it. Let it stand a little and it is ready. Fast and easy. it is lightweight and shelf stable. Comes in a sturdy box to protect the cups.It tastes good. The ingredients are ok, even though not great.

Ever have Spanish rice that wasn't seasoned very well? That's about what this tastes like. It needs some extra stuff to make it tasty. It's rather plain on its own. I put some sea salt and hot sauce in there and that was good enough to make it decent.Put a plate under this when you microwave it. It's very likely to overflow a bit. When it is done, it's pretty thick. It definitely has the consistency of TV dinner style rice. You could probably improve it with some sour cream and shredded cheese too.This is fine for something quick that requires basically zero effort. You just take the lid off, add water, microwave, and then wait a bit. After that, dump whatever you want in there to make it taste better. It will at least need some salt, because it tastes like plain tomatoes and rice without it. There's plenty of room in the bowl, so you can go wild with additions and make it a meal. Add some chicken or whatever and you'll be on your way to something complete instead of a side.

If I could give negative stars I would, this crap is so disgusting, it even smells like old motor oil while it's cooking. Seriously, don't buy this crap.

Really need to tweak this, but it's a good base.
