Great for home NVR or NAS, esp if you have redundancy in your array. Test them when you get them!! If one is bad, they will replace it. Mine have a 5yr warranty. I did have one DOA and they replaced it. They give a return label and once they receive the bad drive they'll send you a replacement. So, there is potentially some down time there. But that shouldn't typically be a problem for someone buying used drives. For half the price of new, these are worth it IMO

I gave this a try because it was cheap, but the drive I received was defective and would not spin up. I suppose you get what you pay for.

I Purchased, two of these back in April 2023 for backup purposes on my dell precision music server. I use them on the swappable base and they work perfectly fine! During usage, I can see no different in speeds or anything of the kind as compared to others I’ve had previously. The point is to save your data not to run racist against other peoples computers! And, if, and when they break, the five-year warranty should come in handy, even if the company takes a long time to respond and address the issue. What else is new? All brand companies operate the same way! Give me a break! Hence the reason why you buy extra drives and run extra back ups all the time! If you’re going to store, 30 years worth of music and music videos on a hard drive, you have better be making at least three back ups each time!

Purchased the new variation, not the used/refurbished one. Worked perfectly out of the box, and took 10 TB of data restore without any issues. Much quieter than the 12 TB Hitachi/Western Digital drive the MDD drive replaced. Note, the WD drive was failing. Any manufacture's drive can fail, backup often!

Bought two of these recently, both with only two (2) hours booted. Great value!

Drive doesnt even power on. I probably install about 50 or so drives a year, and it has been 28 years since I have received one that was DOA (coincidentally the first drive I ever purchased). I had been hoping to perhaps get a good deal on a bunch of drives from this manufacturer if indeed the products were any good, but alas it was not to be. I guess I will need to stay away from this brand and advise others to do so as well. And of course I ordered it for next day delivery since I was in a hurry to start backup on a NAS, and now I am stuck not able to get a refund until the return is complete and in immediate need of a large drive which is complicated by it being Memorial Day weekend...

these drives work great for the price not sure what issues others run into as long as my data is good im happy. make sure you have parity for data redundancy. ive been running some of these drive for over 2 years with 0 issues.

I purchased two of these. Fully tested them and both passed out of the box. They are loud at boot but not during heavy IO. Performance is on par with the other big guys. I am happy with these so far.I did purchase the "NAS" version of this drive and received a 12TB instead of a 20TB. Luckily I checked before I opened the bag. Seller accepted the return within 3 days.
