As a LR Defender fan I loved this build. I liked the details put into it. The diesel or v8 engine options , the over landing type or bare bones versions. Etc. the details are aggravating beyond belief though. The directions ask you to install the tailpipe way early on but it falls off every time you need to grab the truck to put an assembly on. The seats don’t really sit right but it’s okay. They housing included some more clamps and technic studs to put the tools on the bare side racks. The bare side racks look a little silly bare. Some parts are still flimsy even after it’s finished. For example popping on the intake snorkel. It should have just popped on but the front right fender was a little flimsy still. The value for the money is almost there. The attention to detail puts the value up there but the size makes you question it. Overall a nice build but it could have been a little better.

So beautifully detailed-Lego is awesome. Yes, it’s pricey-but it’s modern day model building.

Love the detail and size. Took my time and enjoyed putting it together every other night.

This Lego set is almost more like a model than it is a Lego build. No detail has been overlooked in it's production and the finished item will definitely be a showpiece in your collection. Although it is indicated for ages 18+, any experienced builder over the age of 12 could probably handle it. My 15 year old completed it in about 8 hours with no help. This set is well worth the price and you won't regret buying it.

Brought me back to my childhood. Lots of fun building and looks great in my office.

I'm not a huge Land Rover fan. Being from the US, I am used to Jeeps being our off-road vehicle of choice. That being said, as a car enthusiast, I appreciate the contributions Land Rover made to the industry. As a Lego nerd as well, who has almost all the Lego Icon cars, I bought this to continue my collection.I was very pleasantly surprised at the assembly of this model. I had a lot of fun building it (much more than the Porche 911 build I bought at the same time). I even woke up restless in the middle of the night, so I started working on it again for a couple of hours before going back to sleep. This model was put together in a very creative way, and you could tell the designer was someone who is very experienced with Lego models.If you are a fan of the Lego Icon cars series, this one may very well be one of your favorite models in your collection. You don't even have to be a big Land Rover fan to appreciate it.
