Good Lock
I wanted a strong sash lock to fit my new fire door. This did the job prefectly. I decided to have a carpenter fit it as I was not confident of doing the job correctly myself. He had no problems fitting it. Good value for money.

No problems
Well built and thankfully the exact same dimensions as the old lock it replaced. It's great when when you have to replace something like this and the exact model is still available and obviously still selling well after ten years.

Takes 3 1/2 Hours to Break It!
We never usually lock our man cave but decided to lock it due to reports of garden burglaries recently. Lock seized (probably due to lack of locking over the years), took 3 1/2 hours to get in! Transpired (when looking for a replacement lock) that this was the lock that was fitted so can vouch for the security ..... how long will a low-life trying to steal your valuable possessions persevere trying to break in? Not 3 1/2 hours I bet!! Replacement was a perfect fit, and arrived quickly - result all round!

Can anybody cut a key to fit this? Three local locksmith can't.
I bought this to replace a previous ERA lock of the same type, so that I knew it would be a simple job to replace. It was. I needed three more keys, so I went to a local shop. They cut, and charged me for three keys. They didn't fit. I took them, and the lock, back to the shop. A different man cut four more. None of them worked. Getting desperate, I went to the local Screwfix. Their high tech machine said that the key blank was inknown. A lock that noone can cut keys for is of little use. I am returning it, but I am still out of pocket for three keys which cost more than the lock.

I’m no carpenter
My only issue, I found is trying to fit this lock to replace the original mortice lock into a door that’s 50+ years old!The original door effectively 50+ years old sizes & tolerances vary over time & different manufacturers
