Duomed thigh stockings are fantastic.
I was prescribed surgical stockings but I found them really thick and bulky so when I tried the duomed thigh they were absolutely fantastic they are so thin and yet very supportive in all the right places and very comfortable to wear.

Top marks for function, no points for looks
I’ve been prescribed the shorter version of these in black as knee highs for vascular insufficiency. Sadly, black knee highs are not a great look for a summer wedding, so I thought I’d give these a try instead. In so far as they fit perfectly up the whole leg and stay put - arguably not much of an ask when being worn by a wheelchair user, but they were more comfortable than expected - then they do a great job and kept the swelling at bay from early until very late. However, how they looked was another thing entirely. I’m not sure that anyone is naturally the shade of these things. They’re unpleasantly orange and most definitely not a colour I would ever choose to wear. I pretty much despaired on seeing how they clashed with my dress, and on a day when I knew I would be in photographs it made me more anxious than I’d otherwise have been. It’s really disappointing that, in 2023, it seems impossible to find these in a colour that doesn’t scream “medical aid” other than opaque black. Currently debating whether to buy some pale tights to wear over the top of these so they don’t look so hideous. And that just should not be an issue. I’m only 51, and this is so easily fixed. I can’t imagine anyone looks good in these, from any ethnicity, and really wish the manufacturer would take a leaf out of the underwear manufacturers’ books and consider updating their definition of “nude” to something that stands a chance of being attractive as well as functional.Being disabled really doesn’t mean giving up on looking good, and these are clearly a throwback to a time when we were just expected to look a state and be grateful things existed. That’s not good enough. I’d pay decent money to buy these in a better colour. It’s time Duomed caught up with the times.

To stop a swollen leg I swallowed my manly pride!
As a man I'm not so keen on having to wear a stocking on one leg, or having to trim the hair on my leg so it isn't pulled down as I walk. But it stops my leg swelling bellow the knee and for that I can put up with the strange feeling, like having a plastic skin! My leg has now shrunk down to the size of my other and I feel a lot happier. The lacy top has a rubber retaining feature which really does not work with hairy thighs!

Wore out very quickly
I have bought this product before with no problems but this time, the elasticated top band became loose after only a few wears. The stocking falls down when walking. Usually I get about 6 months wear out of the product before having to replace. I can’t afford to replace them this quickly so am a bit stuck as I need them for my right leg in particular, as I suffer from post thrombotic syndrome following several blood clots in that leg 11 years ago.
