Transfers extremely quickly
Purchased 128gb stick. I'm not a huge USB technical nerd so I don't have stats for you, but I purchased this to transfer large 4k videos to and from different PC's.I plugged this direct into my PC which has a powerful SSD which i suspect helped, but I transfered a full 4k 20gb video in less than 50 seconds. I am very impressed of how quickly this worked. The USB stick is very sturdy and well built and is surprisingly heavier than expected. It does get warm through use but if transfers are only gonna take a minute or 2 at a time, I don't think there's a huge danger unless you leave it unattended and operating for long periods of time. The stick also comes with a great leather like pouch to store and add to your keyring if needed and this also comes with a USB-C adapter.

Great product, amazing speeds.
The SSK 256GB USB SSD Solid State Flash Drive is a noteworthy addition to my computing setup, and I'd like to provide an informative review of its key features and performance. One of the standout aspects of this device is its exceptional speed. With a maximum transfer rate of 550MB/s, it significantly reduces data transfer times and application load times. This improved speed is especially noticeable when compared to traditional HDDs or standard USB drives. It's worth noting that actual transfer speeds may vary depending on your system and the type of data being transferred.I have been using this SSD as a boot drive for a Linux system, and it has functioned seamlessly in this capacity. Setting it up as a boot drive was straightforward, and the device has consistently delivered a swift and reliable booting experience. It has effectively reduced the startup time of my computer, contributing to a more efficient workflow. In terms of usability, the SSK USB SSD offers a compact and portable design that's convenient for both at-home and on-the-go use. Its durable build quality ensures it can withstand daily wear and tear.To summarize, the SSK 256GB USB SSD Solid State Flash Drive is a commendable choice for those seeking improved storage performance. Its speed, usability, and reliability make it an asset for various computing tasks. Whether you're using it as a boot drive or for data storage, it offers a noticeable enhancement to your computing experience.

Premium feel. Seems indeed faster than a normal USB flash stick.
I am using it on a Rasperry PI 4 instead of an SD card, and it definitely improves the responsiveness of the device, since it is an SSD rather than just a normal USB flash stick. It works fine with Linux and I have also partitioned it with no issues. The metal casing on this USB stick gives a premium feel to it and it helps with heat dissipation.I cannot yet comment on durabilty. Only time will tell...

works great , no drop in speed, seemless disply, would prefer to have a connected /attached cover , be sure to check the package, never received or sent the leather holder , always a faff to return, decided to keep anyway, as going on hols , hence dropped a star,

It actually performs as advertised 😱
Fantastic bit of kit for the price point, zero complaints. Based on the price I was expecting 75% of the advertised performance, at best. However, upon stress testing the device I can confirm that it was achieving somewhere closer to 99.5%, the only thing I can't predict is longevity, so I will update this review as and when I start to see corruption and unstable behaviour, which will serve as a rough longevity baseline, in a high usage scenario.Just found my new go to supplier for portable storage.I can recommend this item without hesitation.

953GiB{1024billion} write speed falls sharply 400MB/s to 73 after 227mins[full]
This SSK SD300 has 2% larger capacity than its newer brother SD301This model was slightly cheaper at time of purchase (under £60 for 1024billion bytes compared to nearly £70 for the 1000billion 931GiB of the better-looking SD301) .This unit benchmarked a bit slower in CrystalDiskMark using USB C with a USB3.2x2 C port(see my review of it) but exhibited pretty similar behaviour: write speed drops sharply & unit gets toasty.430to450 MBytes per second dropping to 334 after14m; 148 after48m; 80after159; 73MB/[email protected] speed seems pretty stable 384MBytes per second. If you want to move more than 50 GiB then maybe invest in => usb 3 nvme SSD or put up with the slowdown.BTW results are probably optimistic: I was transferring fairly large files ( 953 one Gibibyte & then 4 videos totalling 53 Gibibytes from an 80GiB ramdrive )
