ASMARKMacbook Pro A1990 Battery Replacement for 15-inch 2018-2019 A1953 Battery

My 2018 MacBook Pro has been experiencing battery issues for some time, and I recognized that I would eventually need to address the situation. I found it difficult to justify the expense of several hundred pounds at a store for the repair, yet I was also apprehensive about potentially damaging a laptop valued at over £2,000 by attempting the repair myself.The urgency to act arose when my MacBook Pro completely failed to charge, and I observed that the casing had begun to swell, indicating a significant fire hazard. To prepare myself for the battery replacement, I watched several instructional videos on YouTube, which helped me gain the confidence needed to undertake the task independently.The replacement kit included all the essential components, although it did not come with alcohol for removing the adhesive pads. However, I found that the provided prying tool was adequate for lifting one corner of the sticky tape, allowing it to peel off easily. The existing battery was relatively simple to detach using the included scraper tool, and the edges had already lifted due to battery expansion, facilitating the removal process.The instructions were clear and easy to follow, although I recommend adhering to the numbered steps, as I inadvertently skipped one by simply following the left-to-right format in the manual. Overall, I spent just over an hour replacing the battery, with the most time-consuming part being the removal of the bottom cover. It has now been three months without any issues, warranting a five-star rating thus far.

This is my 2nd battery, and it inly lasted barely 2 months. I cannot return or replace so i had to order another one… what a waste. I do not recommend this product at all.

Fitted the batteries in MacBook Pro model early 2019. They were perfect for the job and work well. One problem was taking off the speaker cables. When I forced one off it broke the tiny socket the terminal sat in. So now working in mono. Took a long time to fit (allow up to three hours). If I could do it again it would be much quicker.

The instructions were clear and easy to follow with a close up photo of every step and was specific to the laptop model. It does take a fair bit of time to release the old battery from its adhesive, but that is just about having patience to work methodically and follow the instructions. After fitting and a 12 hour charge, my MacBook Pro 2019 ran for 22 hours on battery (no programs running, screen on low brightness)

The media could not be loaded. I’ve replaced a few Mobile Phone Batteries/Screens in the past, but never a MacBook’s Battery? But after reviewing the video within this advert page which shows a step-by-step easy to follow instructions on how to replace it, I thought I’d try and save myself at least £150 (and significantly more if Apple did it), by doing it myself. This Kit comes with everything you need to do the job and thankfully I had no problems fitting it. However, please bear in mind that once the back of the laptop is open, there’s a lot of sensitive parts in there which could end up being an expensive repair bill, if you were to make a mistake? Also, be aware that you have to be careful and make sure you purchase the correct Battery for your specific Model/Year MacBook, because it’s not a case of one Battery fits all! - This Asmark Brand actually do quite a few different model MacBook Battery Kits on Amazon, so hopefully there’ll be the correct one for you. My MacBook Pro is now like a New Laptop and to be honest I can notice a Big difference in its Battery longevity, compared to the original Apple one which definitely wasn’t holding a full charge and was on its way out. Overall, I’m Very Pleased with it and feel the Replacement Batter Kit represents Good Value for Money. Thank you.

My old 15" MBP 2018 laptop is 5 years old and has a battery cycle count of over 702. This battery replacement kit will breathe new life to it.Prior to the installation, I did watch a few y0utube videos to gain some understanding on the various approaches to perform this task. I decided to go with the easiest approach which avoids removing the motherboard.Installation experience:I really like the kit as it includes all the tools to complete the task. The process carefully removing the entire old batteries took around 25-35minutes. The fitting of the new batteries took another 5minutes and putting the back cover was another 5minutes. The whole job was about 40mins but I used this opportunity to clean out all the dust trapped in the dual fans etc.Things I liked:- it included all the tools required to complete the job 🎉- battery was detected (full health) 🙌Overall, the result are amazing. It’s like have the laptop like it was on day one. Already I can see the difference in (longer) battery life. Happy day!!! 😍

£75 at time of reviewI’ve not installed this yet, that’s a project for next weekend, but I’m impressed with the quality of the packaging and the instructional installation guide and the online step by step instructions this comes with.It comes with all the tools you’re going to need to do your installation, although I already have my own as this is not the first battery replacement I’ve done… if you’ve not done one before, watch the video and decide if it’s something you feel you can tackle yourself, it’s not as daunting as you may think, but do take your time and be very very careful, don’t force anything, Apple’s product designers are undoubtedly some of the best in the world, but they don’t make replacing a battery for the lay person easy!I really can’t fault this, if the battery once installed is half as good as the care and attention the manufacturer has put into the packaging and installation instructions, then it’s going to be great, I’m confident it will be.Hope my review was helpful
