It works for my Dell Inspiron laptop

Although this arrived on time and perfectly packaged, it was faulty or badly manufactured.Quite simply - the two parts of the male-female connector did not/could not/would not connect!On visual examination, everything appears ok but when trying to insert the male end into the female, it reached a point at which it would go no further. The connection was not made and the pieces dangled about like bobbins in the wind.Because physical connection (and a reassuring "click") could not be made, the male part would part company with the female at the earliest opportunity - ie, when you placed the adapter on the floor (as it would be in normal use).Electrical connection was only possible if you really forced the male part into the socket as hard as possible - and even then, it was just dangling there; there were electrical "crackles" and I didn't want to risk damaging my laptop with so stopped trying to achieve this.As I had missed the Returns window (due to work/daily life demands) I could not return this item, as I had intended. The seller is therefore £11.99 better off and I am stuck with a useless piece of plastic, metal and wire - and it won't even biodegrade!I am therefore going to have to make a trip to the local dump (by car, as it is too far to walk) to put it into the appropriate recycling bin, whereupon it will be used to mark up some "eco" points (as "Recycled") for our local council before being shipped to the other side of the world (from where it came), dumped into a landfill site and left for humans of the next millenium to discover and enjoy! Total Carbon Footprint? ENORMOUS!!!Not really that impressed. Fortunately, as I needed the laptop for work and I was away from home, I managed to get an identical unit supplied by another seller... and that worked: Phew!

Although my laptop is on the list for this charger. My laptop says the power isn’t right so it must be a bit dodgy.

This charger is not cheap, yet it doesn't fit my new dell laptop. It fits the plug but doesnt charge the laptop. And sadly, the seller doesn't accept returns amd don't do refunds. So I am now left with a useless to me 15£ item.
