I bought this to make some pond spillways. Never worked with copper before and didn't really know which gauge to use so it could be shaped but also keep it's shape. 0.8mm was perfect. I managed to cut it with tin snips (although if they have a slightly serrated edge you will notice that on the cut edge) and it could be polished easily. Bent it using a vice, block of wood and a hammer, not sure it could be done by hand. Great copper, very happy.

Despite having hated metalwork at school, I decided to make myself a pair of 'divination spoons,' Iron Age archaeological artefacts found primarily in England and Wales consisting of two large, shallow spoons, matching in size and shape, with stubby, flat handles. My reason for trying to make them is mainly that the only ones I could find for sale online are £125 a pair. I made my first pair from a thin sheet of brass. This copper is around twice as thick and I was concerned it might be hard to beat into shape. I needn't have worried. Copper is a famously soft, malleable metal. This thickness can also be cut relatively easily using a decent pair of tin snips. I can get four pairs of divination spoons out of this one sheet. At online prices, that's £500 worth! Not bad for £15 then. My only reason for dropping a star is that the sheet I received had a scratch across part of it. Still useable, but not ideal.
