Good quality for the price.
Works well and was reasonably priced. I typically use the in window style air conditioners but I thought I'd give one of these a try and the price was good. I was pleasantly surprised how well it works and how easy it was to install. I honestly prefer it over the typically window air conditioners and at some point will probably replace them with these. It kept my house nice and cool during the summer months.

Blows cold and works well, the tube does take up room if you have a dresser in the way.
The media could not be loaded. This portable air conditioner works really well, almost better than our window units. I was pleasantly surprised. It has a nice sound, not too loud, and good for sleeping. We have been using it steady almost 24 hours a day for the last month and a half. The water hasn't needed to be emptied at all. We do live in a dry climate, though. We had to put wood in the bottom of the window because the exhaust tube needs to be at a raised up angle, and we have a dresser in front of the window. The plastic window piece that comes with it can be cut to fit. We also cut a hole in it to put an outdoor extension cord through, so we could plug it in the garage. The exhaust air blowing outside smells kind of nice, like a new smell.

Cools our bedroom
I was hesitant. I doubted it would work. However, this little gem cools our entire bedroom. I didn't like that you have to roll it to another room to drain it but we've been using it all summer and have yet to have to drain it. No leaks, noise is comforting to me. Works great.

Works well, but has some issues.
I got this unit recently and have been using it for about a month and a half in an RV. I have the hose vented out of the bathroom fan/vent and the set up works, although the hose is not as long as I'd prefer or as I have seen with other units, so it dose make the set up a little difficult.Today it is triple digits here, and when running it keeps my RV below 75-77 pretty much all day and I can work from home in peace. For an 8000 BTU unit priced at under $250, very cost effective. As far as cooling, it works. The air intake is located on the side of the unit, so if there is anything next to it or if it's in a tight space, it doesn't work as well. I had a curtain get caught in front of the intake, which caused the outgoing air to be less. The unit has a very small water holding tank for condensation. I find that I have to empty the water on the unit really frequently, nearly daily when I'm using it for more than a few hours, which is very annoying. It will stop working if it gets too full, so I always have to worry about draining it if I'm leaving. I have figured out that if I put a tray underneath it and leave the drain open, it will just collect water and I can leave it on.

Portable air conditioner
It worked all summer so that's great. The window plate part was too long for a normal sized window so I had to take it to a hardware store to have it cut down, otherwise the installation part was easy.

It’s fantastic!
I never heard of this name before but then again there are plenty of unfamiliar names, but because I never heard of it, I hesitated. Our central air went out & since all 5 kids have moved out, there wasn’t a rush for me to get central air replaced. My logic was simple, I live in ND, we don’t get that many BLISTERING hot days as it is, let alone why cool ALL the rooms? So we bought this & it hasn’t disappointed us. It’s sturdy, comes w/many options, a remote, a vent hose. Now some ppl may place hose out window. I realize that’s what your supposed to do, however me personally, I do not want ppl to pass my home and see a hose out my window. Most of my windows are casement style. So my husband installed the hose through the wall/floor register vent. The air conditioning isn’t on everyday, because we’re not in that room everyday. If I need another one, I will for sure buy this brand again.

Scam do not buy
This is not 8000 btu it’s 5000. False advertising. It doesn’t even get cold. Blows out semi cool air but definitely doesn’t get cold. This is garbage and I’ll be returning.

Works Great But Beware the BTU Claim
This air conditioner works great so far in the bedroom in which it is installed, but unless there is some secret way to calculate BTUs it is NOT 8,000 BTUs. It clearly says 5,000 BTUs on its label. If you're not vigilant in checking those things it's easy to miss the deception. Beware.
