I got this because I didn’t want to spend over $300 on a CO2 system, so I went with the DIY sugar and yeast method instead. If you're considering this approach, I recommend using soda bottles since they can handle up to 150 PSI—though you only need about 10–15 PSI to maintain a steady bubble flow.At first, you might wonder, Where are my CO2 bubbles? In my experience, the ceramic plate takes time to loosen up, requiring a good amount of initial pressure. Once your DIY system starts producing bubbles, let the pressure build until the bottle feels firm but not collapsing when squeezed. This extra pressure helps push the water through and clear any blockages, after which you should see a steady stream of CO2 bubbles.From my testing, it takes about eight hours to lower the pH from 7.0 to 6.2. The best way to run CO2 is while the tank lights are on—wait until the plants start pearling (when tiny oxygen bubbles form on the leaves), as that’s a good indicator that your tank has enough CO2.Overall, this DIY setup is a great budget-friendly alternative to expensive CO2 systems, and for 12$ it is great quality and does the job perfectly.

This diffuser is great, it’s plastic but it holds up great and is slim so it works wonderfully to hide in a corner. Suction cup is strong and doesn’t move. Simple and easy

We ordered this due to the stars but had to returned both because it did not work. no bubbled no co2.the vendor did send a replacement but that one did not work either. we appreciate the prompt response for an exchange we were very disappointed that neither worked.

It’s a good product

Perfect size for 40G breeder. Normal airline tubing will fit it. The diffuser itself is aesthetically pleasing. Fine bubbles. Make sure you put it in front of a strong flow to help disperse the bubbles
