I am happy with this purchase. It was recommended on several youtube pen-spinning tutorials, and I can see why—excellent design.

For almost 20 years I’ve been spinning pens–horribly. I always need something in my hands and I always have a handful of writing instruments near me, so a pen or pencil is the fidget thing I use most.I remember seeing classmates in high school with some mad pen-spinning skills; since then I’ve wanted to do cool tricks besides the generic twirling but never could manage to do something as simple as a thumb-around. Well, at least not properly. About a decade ago I learned about creating practice pens from an RSVP and other tweaks. It was serviceable but not well balanced.When I saw this premade mod I jumped on it quickly. It’s longer than I expected but very well balanced. Indeed, I can balance it on a fingertip like the product images show.I can now see where I was doing things wrong in terms of spinning other pens. Because this mod is balanced, it helps me position it correctly so that I can pull off tricks without issue. The barrel feels superb in the hand; it’s got a soft, matte-like feel to it without yielding too much when squeezed. Because it’s got white and silver as the only colors, it looks clean and pleasing. However, I wish the paper in the barrel was removable; I’m afraid to undo some parts for fear of negating the balance, but the big font for “Waterfall” takes away some of the clean look, or so I opine.

The waterfall pen modification is one of the most popular for beginners, for good reason. The light weight doesn't fatigue the fingers, but the ends still have enough weight to confer some helpful momentum during spins that are intended to be longer in duration or higher in speed. The shank is smooth and has enough length to allow finger rolls like baton twirling. The rubberised ends provide a nice grippy stopper to keep it from sliding out of your hands. Great item!
