Comfortable, Light, Stable.
I don't often take a chair with my on longer trips, but I certainly have enjoyed taking this one on my day hikes (2-13 miles). It's so light you don't notice and is very steady (especially with optional ground cloth I picked up somewhere - prevents legs from sinking). This chair works very well, very stable, easy to set up, feels like nothing in my pack. It's so nice to pull up to a river after walking 5-10 miles, sit comfortably and brew some coffee. 100% would buy again. For me, using the ground sheet (can't remember if this was included or if I bought separately) is a must have - probably for any chair to keep the legs from sinking into loose soil or sand. Have to admit it looks sharp as well and fits me - 5'11" and 230 pounds without compliant. Oh, folds up nicely and not a struggle to slip it into my day pack.

Awesome backpacking chair
Pricey but for the weight and form factor, I'm not complaining. Solid build. Easy assembly. Love that pop of color in the legs. It probably favors users of smaller hips (I wear 32" waist pants) . Perfectly comfortable, but after an hour and a half or so of sitting in it, I felt pressure points on both sides of my butt.

Best of the best
I see other chairs being advertised for good camping chairs and yes, this one is a little more expensive but honestly, I would never pick another one after using this one

Lightweight
Perfect weight if weight is a factor and you want to have comfort on the trails.

its great!
For me, it's been super worth-the-cost. I'm about 6' and 230 and it sits quite comfortably after a day of backpacking or even car camping. Strongly recommend some form of insulation or barrier (sheet of reflectix, anything!) if you're going to be sitting down for any amount of time in cold weather, otherwise you just lose a ton of heat through your back and bottom.

Very lightweight, but a compromise in comfort and sturdiness. Great for backpacking.
I bought the lightest chair I could find for backpacking and it fills the need! Backpacking with a chair is a bit over the top IMO, but I'm older now and have some back issues. After seeing others out in the wilderness with a chair, I just had to get one. I skimp on other areas in exchange for a chair. That said, to shave off weight, they had to exchange sturdiness and comfort which makes sense. You need to be careful so as not to tip over as the legs are pretty close together and I would give it 7/10 for comfort. But the only way to fix both these is to beef it up, thus adding weight. So if you looking for a super light camp chair to backpack that is far more comfortable than sitting on a rock or log, then this is for you. If you are car camping, I'd get a heavier one that is more stable and comfortable. I took this to Havasupai and it worked well. I will plan on taking it on more backpacking trips. It also is good if you want a super small/light chair to stuff in your car or store somewhere just in case, or if you are tight on space and want to pack a chair at the next outdoor event just in case. I'll give it 5-stars for the weight, but just know what you are trading (weight for stability and some comfort). Probably the most comfortable chair for it's weight though. Can't really compare this with heavier chairs, not apples-to-apples or fair to the manufacturer as it wasn't designed for car camping IMO. I'm pulling out my Tommy Bahama for car camping or concerts...

Great for backpacking
I lead my boys' scouting group and we do a lot of backpacking camping. I used to take a Thermarest pad and sit on a rock, but still that was tough on my old knees. This is a dream come true! A super lightweight chair (without the stuff bag, it weighs a pound and fits perfectly in the side pocket of my backpack.A little tricky to set up the first few times. Did not want to force the poles in the pockets for fear of ripping the pockets. Nice there are only 2 pieces though - the poles, which fold up, and the chair seat/back. Nothing to get lost! Not the most comfortable chair to sit in, but better than sitting on the ground. To ensure balance, it is best to stretch out the legs as opposed to keeping them close to the chair. The back is shorter than I would like for normal use, as I would love to rest my shoulders back after a day of backpacking. Regardless of these two design aspects, I love sitting in this chair vs. on the ground. I feel comfortable in the chair from the perspective of holding my weight (5'7" & 170 lbs). I can sit by a fire in this chair for hours and feel comfortable. For cold weather, I purchased REI's Flexlite Chair Underquit which fits the Chair Zero perfectly! The extra insulation is easy to put on and makes a big difference in freezing temps. It is also a lightweight quilt so does not increase the packweight.Overall, glad I have this in my kit to make backpacking more comfortable. Recommend!

great chair
I used this chair several hours daily over a 12 day camping trip. I was comfortable, well supported and I could kind of bounce in it allowing some movement, as well as sitting back, leaning forward or stretching out my legs. Initially it was hard to get the cover on, but after a few rounds was easy to assemble. Might not feel as secure for someone bigger, I weigh 125 lbs.
