Bayco Golf Green Speedmeter

I purchased this item a few days ago for use at my home putting green. It was manufactured by Bayco Golf and it is exactly as advertised. It is 1/4"x2"x36" anodized aluminum bar, with a V-angle of 145 degrees, and a milled notch 30" from one end. I'm happy with the purchase.

Don't know how they can call this official when the notch won't hold the ball in place till you get close to the 20% incline. Don't mind it being made of wood so much but it makes it feel cheap. Definitely not worth the $67 I paid for it.

I have been in the golf turf industry for 20 years working in some of the most exclusive clubs in the Phoenix Scottsdale area. I have used stimpmeter for recording green speeds for general play and tournaments. I have found this stimpmeter to as good as any stimpmeter on the market. I have never had any success in getting an accurate reading using a wood stimpmeter, nor have have I talked to any Superintendent that has had any accurate readings.I would recommend this stimpmeter to any Superintendent that requires accurate readings.Bob Fulton aka Golf Turf Enthusiasts

No where in the description does it state what material the device is made from. The device is referred to as official stimpmeter in the description. A certified stimpmeter is made of aluminum, this product is a piece of wood. It has a cheap feel to it. This should certainly have been described in the listing. I suppose it will give an accurate enough reading for a golfer. I was just very disappointed when I opened the package upon delivery.

This wood product was a very cheaply made product. In no way is it worth the price that I paid for it. It is basically a piece of molding with a notch in it.

Awesome product. Its really nice knowing the stimp for any course.

Not sure why all the scratches on it. Not that it matters. Just was looking for a new stimp meter. And this wasn’t cheap.
