So with that said this phone is amazing not there top model but comparing to my other smart phones like sony Ericson or Motorola droid turbo it is the brightest screen, long battery life, tough as nails , smooth operations, dual sim ,micro 128 gb memory slot absolutely love this phone !!!

I do farm work on a beach every day so I need a one that can survive exposure to salt water, sand and getting dropped often. So I always buy rugged phones now. This was my first CAT one but won't be my last. It performs well for the price, my only complaint is that the camera sucks but for some reason they always do on these rugged phones.

It’s rugged but it doesn’t work most of the time. It will probably never break because we can’t get most things to work.

i've had phone 6 mths and it has a blown speaker, use phone to run business and learned to live with it. 10/22/19 speaker finally blown,no one can call me...2 year warranty i need replacement phone asap then will return old phone i need my phone for job thanks send asap amazon please respond and check with third party caterpillar to resolve this matter of a defective phone which was costly with 2 year warranty. i purchased the S31 because i wanted a smartphone that i didn't have to worry about damaging just by breathing on it wrong. I also wanted one that was easy to use and compatible with AT&T. well i got 3 out of 4 with the S31. Its a smartphone, rugged and compatible with AT&T, just took it and my old phone in to the store (open during covid-19 lockdown) and they activated it and gave me a new sim for free. however, i couldn't upload my contact list from my old phone so i had to manually enter each contact- that was a bummer. also the camera will not work. i try to open the camera app and i get a message "camera not connected". on top of that-when i am on the road and want to connect to the internet using my data connection thru ATT it will not work. only when i am home and can connect via wifi using my internet router can i get the phone to connect to the web. that might be an ATT problem but still, even with my last phone that wasn't a smartphone, i could connect to the web via ATT data connecting. i may just have a defective phone because i have tried several settings and can't get either problem fixed.follow up to my original review. i emailed CAT support and they got back to me the same day- within just a few hours! in addition their proposed solution worked perfectly and the directions were easy to follow. First time Luck maybe, but still great customer service!final note: I discovered a few things that i should have seen right away. 1st the phone is advertised as US Optimized single sim, but I received a dual sim phone that was made for the european and asian market. Its built for 3g band or network use, and is only LTE capable not 4G, and they are not the same thing. AT&T system will not recognize either of my IMEI #s (dual sim so 2 IMEI) so i can't add the phone to my data plan. i can make calls and sent txt messages, but cannot receive mms messages with pics or attachments and i only have access to the internet while i'm at home and can connect to my router via wifi. I feel bad because this phone was a gift from my wife but its useless to me. too late to return it so it will be a paperweight or collect dust in my storage bin waiting for that european vacation that will never happen.

It's a great phone I've dropped it probably a million times an it still works great will definitely buy another one of these phones

Hastily packed. My $300 smart phone thrown into a huge empty box with one small inflatable pillow. Good thing it's rugged smartphone! I'll never buy fragile stuff through Amazon again..Now the phone is the perfecct size for me, battery life is awesome and case feels solid and nice in your hands.The hardware is super slow if you plan on running Google suite. Browsing on my FiOS home line it still takes 5 seconds for pages to open using multiple browsers, same results.The charger quit working within just a few weeks! This makes me worried about the longevity of the phone and how well it was made.I reallly like the short cuts for flash light, silent mode, but lots of trashware installed. You can delete most and you are going to have to because 2g of memory is barely enough for most apps and OS to run snappy.Oh, the camera is horrible. One if the worst I've used. There's a 3 second shutter lag after one takes an image and the dynamic range and exposure are total crap. Cool looking phone, but really should not be this pricy with specs like this If I get a year or so out of it as my landscaping business phone I'll be happy.

While I am very happy with my phone, my carrier is crappy. I love the way you can turn off the screen. Much easier than my old droid. I tend to drop my phone and the durability was the reason my contractor husband got his s41 and this one for me. I am loving my CAT phone!
