Good product, but I needed something bigger
Works fine but unfortunately, due to the fact this can only be used indoors, did not bring in even a quarter the number of ADS-B and MLAT reports that I was able to get by building a Cantenna - however this is a good price, and works exactly as intended and should be considered by anyone who wants to test the waters for ADS-B, wants to use this out and about, has a good uninhibited view of the horizon, or doesn't want to build their own. The magnetic base is a nice touch too.

Fantastic for the price
I bought it to connect to my dongle to track flights and as a replacement for antenna that came with it. As I can't install antenna outside I was getting very poor reception, hardly hitting 50 nautical miles, but with this antenna my range went up to over 70 miles. I can't expect great results from indoor use but I'm very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone who wants to replace the one that came with the dongle but can't install outdoor antenna.

It was useless

Good performance for a sensible price.
Decent antenna which delivers improved range compared to the bundled antennas that are included with most SDR dongles. I saw an increase from approx. 150nm to up to 250nm on occasions.

Poor ADS-B performance.
Considering its supposed to be a 1090Mhz antenna I struggled to get to 50 mile range. Made my own from youtube and now reach 250 mile range.

Works well
Much better than the similar sized antenna that came with my dvb stick, much better made too. I've gone from seeing about 5 aircraft at once to over 30 and my range has increased from about 10nm to 40nm. Magnetic base is strong and useful.

Quite an improvement over stock SDR antenna
Use it for mode-s and it increased my range from under 150NM to just under 200NM. It’s odd, really, as a monopole antenna should be an odd number of quarter wavelengths and for 1090MHz I don't think this one is. But then again, neither was the one it replaced. I doubt the 6dB is accurate, but there was definitely a small gain in my case.
