These lights look fabulous in our back garden. They arrived really quickly, and were easy to put up. We attached the solar panel to our neighbours fence and they work brilliantly. The customer service we received from Powerbee was really good too. Our first positioning of the solar panel was not the best location and the lights did not appear to work properly. After ringing Powerbee, we were reassured that any problem would be rectified promptly, but was advised to reposition the solar panel before returning them, just to check whether the lights were faulty or not. As soon as we repositioned the solar panel, the lights worked perfectly!I did have a little difficulty in getting the lights to sta' on permanently, rather than coming on in the flashing sequence mode. After a little fiddling with (at the initial set up stage), I have had no further problems.These lights stay bright well into the early hours of the morning, even with all this continuous wet weather that the UK is having! In sunshine (if we can remember what sun looks like!!!) they do seem to last a lot longer - however I have no concerns whatsoever with the amount of time they stay on.Just by reading previous reviews of this product it is apparent that these are extremely good quality lights, and certainly worth the money! I have to agree. I intend buying more sets of these lights as they look so nice.Thank you Powerbee for making such a good product!

Well packaged and all very small and neat.The lights worked as soon as plugged into the solar unit but I charged the unit via USB for an hour or more just to be sure. Hard to tell in daylight how bright they are but I tried them again when completely dark and they work well.Fixed around a pergola edge using the full 10m as one long string. The light is enough to see by for drinks etc, not exceptionally bright but ideal for sitting out on late evenings.To be fair the picture in the photo of the solar unit surrounded by the lights is a fair representation. I have seen some other photos of other brands that have been enhanced, you can see what should be shadows are light, but these are about right as per the photo here.Just to boost the light a bit and add a bit of sparkle we will be ordering some coloured ones to put alongside the white ones.No idea how long the will last if left all night as I turn them off when we go in as would attract attention overnight otherwise. So far lights brighter after a day in the sun than when first charged by usb on the first day.Batteries can be replaced if they wear out (as they must over time) in the future so hopefully a long term product.Edited to add that we haven't left them on all night but neighbours who also bought them have and apparently they stayed on for about 9hrs, came on about 9pm and still on at dawn. This is from a new set with new batteries but v good anyway, worth knowing if used decoratively to stay on all night.

This was my first solar light purchase experience and I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of lumen/output and battery duration. My wife and I purchased these lights to 'break up' some garden fencing and to give the garden some night time definition. The lights easily rolled out the length of the fence line (2.4 Meters to first light then 9.9 Metres of lights). Next thing, I expected the standard Christmas tree light ‘faff’, in that some of the light would need replacement bulbs or the bulbs pushed or crewed in, to get them working, but how wrong could I be; straight out of the box, the lights all worked. Going back to how bright these lights would prove to be; I left the switch on the back of the (Powerful 300 mAh Grade ‘A’ Polycrystalline solar charging unit) on ‘Auto’ on and it was so bright, it was lighting up the neighbours gardens too! I switched over to permanent on, which was less intrusive for any would be complainants (Light Modes - AUTO - will cycle the lights through Slow Glow, Combination, linear flash, Waves, Sequential, Chasing Flash, Twinkle Flash, and Static). In all, the lights have added a real touch of class and decoration to out dreary fence. We’re even considering buying the 240 light set, because these were so good. Even on good winter days, like yesterday (mid-Dec 15), there was enough charge in a short winter-day to give the lights the oomph they needed. We strung them up on white screw-in hooks on the upper fence line and they look fantastic at night. They don’t even get caught in the wind or flail around, which was another worry. All in all, I couldn’t recommend these lights strongly enough. A first-rate purchase…..

Nice while they lasted, but poor quality as half the bulbs have stopped working after less than 18 months use and battery appears to be failing too as the bulbs left working don't stay on as long as they used too. Price seems good value at first but given their short lifespan I would not recommend as I'll need to buy so more as they only come with a very poor 6 months guarantee! Which suggests to me the manufacture knows they are prone to failure or they would stand by their bold claims that these are better than competitor products. Their product listing is full of grands claims like "Simply better quality", "the build quality is exceptional", "all components are very high quality", "our units just keep on going"....none of this has proved true in my experience. So my advice would be to ignore their sales spin and go some place else.
