Awesome
I got this product because I wanted my room to be like a cave.Basically, no light, ever.I used to use tin-foil but it crinkles with changing air pressure and makes me look like I'm running a meth lab.As far as plastic goes, this product is way overpriced, but when you upgrade from tin-foil to this stuff, it's magical. The plastic is thin but does not let in any light. AND it doesn't crinkle. The plastic clings... kind of. I just taped the edges down so it didn't matter.

It works!
I bought these black outs for my son who works long hours all week and then can't sleep on Saturday or Sunday morning in his rental apartment. He has Roman shades and they don't hold the light back. With the blackout blind, it is pitch dark. New room darkener blinds or curtains are just not a realistic expense for his rental and he wanted something that would not damage the molding or leave grease marks on the window. I really researched the product...Oprah did a review of blackouts that was helpful. My son just put these up (a static cling kind of process) and rolled down the roman shades and has the best of both worlds...nothing unsightly and the light is gone.

98% black out
Mostly work well but fell off at one point. Not able to cover the edges of the windows. Other then that they work really good. 98% coverage and blackout day and especially night.

Much Easier Than I Had Expected
I was a mite leary at how 'easy' this product sounded to place. However, to my surprise, it was extremely easy, and only took less than 10 mins, (including measuring the window, hanging the product, etc). I am extremely happy and this product met more than my expectations. Trust me, that's a lot coming from me, considering the cynicist/pessimist characteristics to which I possess. Will definitely recommend this product to anyone! Thank you, Magic Whiteboard Products!

Quick convenient solution, make sure you have clean windows, not very reusable
As a renter I was looking for a quick black out solution that would not involve creating fixtures and fittings in the apartment we rent. This was an OK temporary solution although pretty expensive. If you are considering buying this product, I have the following points that might help you decide whether this product will meet your needs:* make sure that you have very clean windows otherwise the sheets dont stick properly and peel off. It will not stick over bug covers either.* air conditioning and very hot sunshine is something common in America but not so common in the UK where I am from. I think that this affected the usefulness of the product in the USA. If you live somewhere that is very hot in a room with air conditioning you might be better off with paper blackouts* I like that this is easy to store and ridiculously convenient, like a roll of cling film. If you are travelling on holiday it is something you could easily keep it in the car and use in hotels.* Some comments will say "It is just thick plastic bin bags" well yes except it looks a lot better and theres no tape to worry about* it doesnt restick very well after the first peel and stick. I had to rub it on the carpet a few times when I used it the second time.* the size of the tear-off pieces is geared towards small width European sized windows BUT they all connect which is really useful and makes it very easy to create a jigsaw of them to meet your needs* it is pretty expensive for what it is.Would I buy it again? Yes as a renter. If I owned a home I would probably seek a cheaper option.

Not for me.
Not worth it for the price, very expensive and kept rolling off my windows in some areas, while adhering to others. I do have an older home with irregularly shaped windows, so maybe would work better on newer windows. Very frustrating.

Magic Blackout
Excellent product. We used to block out sun light during the day while our granddaughter naps. Amazing so few products out there that will do this, but Magic Blackout works as promised. We had the product up for six days straight and it never needed reapplication. Couldn't be happier.

Magic Black Blind work fine
Magic Black Blind works great once it's on the window (if placed properly it almost totally blocks out light). However, putting on and taking it off of the windows can be a bit of a bother.
