From Dude to Dad: The Diaper Dude Guide to Pregnancy Paperback – May 6, 2014

Bought this in preparation for my husband. It’s the only baby book I can get him to read, we read it together and found it is useful information for both of us! Would absolutely recommend for ANY soon to be or new father.

The book is conversational, but informative. An easy read. Received this as a gift and have bought it two times as gifts to my buddies becoming dads for the first time. Also, just discovered the author now has a podcast by the same name - From Dude To Dad. The podcast enhances the book and has a boatload of topics not discussed in the book.

Hubs finished this book quickly, and loved it. I read some of it and it's perfect for a first timer with no idea what to expect. As I was experiencing some things I was unsure about, he was quick to provide an explanation based on what he read. This book also provides insights for your partner, giving a slight heads up on what we're going through. Softens the blow, you could say. Your partner may feel obligated to read education books, but this one will actually keep them interested.

Very good book for my husband. I enjoyed reading it as well. It's nice that it comes from personal experience. Not just a here's a book from a doctor about what you should and shouldn't expect. Very entertaining but also good information.

This book was a little light on actual practical information. Its more like "hey you're kind of a bum guy but you're having a kid. Here's how you can be less of a slacker and help out a bit". I will say that this book has a much much better attitude than most of the books targeted towards new dads. The author does come at it from a place of joy about being a new father. Many of the other books I have seen are more along the lines of you never wanted to have kids and don't like them, here's how your life is going to be ruined by children. Great book if you are looking for an easy read that will scratch the surface of being a new dad, if you are looking for in depth info you will want to pick up what to expect or something along those lines.

Bought this book as a gift for my husband to help him prepare for our first baby. Not only is it cute, it actually has some legitimate information in it! I love when my husband reads a few chapters without me knowing, and then will do something so thoughtful or say something so supportive that it surprises me! After a while, he will sheepishly admit that he read it in his "Daddy book". I think its a great way to involve dads in the pregnancy and make them feel like they can get information in a cool and understandable way (minus all the anatomy and technical terms).

I read a little bit of this while waiting to surprise my fiancee with it when we find out. It's funny and smart. 100% would recommend

I got this as a joke for my husband, but it ended up being a really book that he enjoyed. It gave a lot of good tips for dealing with your pregnant wife, which I really appreciated since I had my awful moments and the book says, "She will say the most awful things, but you will need to bite your tongue." He did an excellent job of letting me get through my mood swings thanks to this book.
