Quality, robust cable
Does its job flawlessly. Yes, there are cheaper versions, but build quality is particularly important when you're using this in an on-the-go environment which means it's often being coiled up and carried around in a laptop bag. The cheaper alternatives too often fray, or the connections become otherwise unreliable. As with all Audioquest cables, this is robust and built to last.

Well made and sounds great
I use this for a Chord Qubuz and it works just very well I don’t claim to hear the difference from a standard cable but I have not had any connection issues which I have had previously with one cables

Good quality cable.
I use it for connecting my I pod to an amplifier and I found it really good quality.

There is no science behind expensive USB cables
USB cables are digital cables. They carry information in a series of 0's and 1's (lots of them). We hear in analogue. Your DAC wether it be in your device or an external one takes all those 0's and 1's and converts them into an analogue signal. Before that they are literally just 0's and 1's. All the cable has to do is get them to your DAC and a 99p cable will do the exact same thing as these expensive cable. Any difference you think you can hear is the placebo effect. Then there is all the marketing claims that come with it. Gold plated 99.99% oxygen free etc. Are the terminals on you DAC/phone/computer 99.99% gold plated and oxygen free? What about the internal connections you cannot see? I need to use a USB C cable with my laptop and that isn't any of those things. These companies make it sound like you have this pristine and perfect signal leaving your device and that their cable is going to keep it that way. Its 0's and 1's. They don't sound of anything yet.Invest in some decent speaker cable and a good analogue interconnect as these do make some difference (clearly sending an analogue signal down a pure silver cable its going to sound a lot better than if you sent it down a coat hanger). But digital cables make zero difference to sound as they do not carry a signal we can hear. For the last time.........its just 0's and 1's.
