The design is flawed
The problem with these shoes and similar designs is that the toe box is too narrow. This creates instability in the feet. Yes, the sole is hard and heavy to create stability, but if your fingers are squished, you lose stability and can't stand firm. So these shoes are pretty useless and pricey.
