If your system is up to it this will make it sing
Very impressed with the huge performance. Set up is worth taking time over - lots of time - and cart took a while to fully sing. Once it had broken in ( 20 hrs ) the sound opened up with huge separation, crisp highs and the singers vocals full and centre stage. A very impressive performance and great value. Love the fact you can just change the styli and upgrade as one supplied mid range ! But for sonic punch styli supplied a winner for overall sonic balance and performance on my system. Only point to be aware off is the styli slides onto the cart and can become loose with a big sonic drop off. This happens if the stylus guard clicked up and down lots so check periodcaly its pushed into cart tightly. Also with the stylus profile it reaches deep into the record grooves so very regular cleaning needed. But this shows just how well it tracks and info that it recovers so a good styli and record cleaning regime needed, not a issue its a mark of the great performance

Excellent
Improvement on the Exact cartridge it replaced. Nice that the stylus can be replaced without having to replace entire cartridge.

Amazing quality
An expensive upgrade but we’ll worth it. Currently run in for about 14 hours and getting better with every play. You can hear so much detail. The drums sound at the back with so much detail. All the highs are really singing. At £301 a massive bargain.

A great cartridge.
I really like this cartridge it's worth paying for. I was looking for a cartridge that would match or exceed that of previous Shure V15 and Stanton 881s I have owned. In fact I still own the Shure, and I am glad to say that it does. A really nice cartridge.

Wrong channel balance
Channel balance is off and cantilever was twisted clockwise

Really nice sounding cartridge
I have a Rega RP3 turntable and was previously using a Rega Exact cartridge, which I'd owned for about 2 years. I was very happy with the Exact but fancied trying something different. I think this cartridge is different to the Exact, it's not as 'in your face' as the Exact, and maybe a little more detailed. Of course, as with all hi-fi components it depends on the synergy with the other products, and in my system I prefer this to the Exact. The bass is a bit more defined, there's a bit more detail in the mid range, and it seems to give a more relaxed sound, more rounded. I'm very happy with it. I would have bought this instead of the Rega Exact if I had heard the differences at the time.

Incredible!
Always used ortofon and recently upgraded to Bronze....didn't seem significantly better from the silver so gave this a go instead and leaps and bounds above both...so much clarity and depth and far less surface noise which was surprising! Works very nicely with rpm 3....very pleased.

Does what it Says
AT VM 750 SH I installed the cartridge in a vintage Denon DP-30LII I bought in 1987. It still runs like new.Easy install. No issues. But, I'm used to installing ATs. The key is to put one screw through the headshell and just start the thread which what I can only describe as a threaded collet looking fastener that comes with the unit. If you use the also provided nuts you have to install them on top of the headshell otherwise they won't fit. Then slide the cartridge in and barely tighten the unit to the shell. Then install the other screw and fastener through the mount. Don't snug it down because it still has to be aligned. I connected the 4 leads and used a standard protractor for proper alignment. I suggest picking up a tracking force scale. It just is more accurate and easier to set the tracking force. Both tracking force and antiskate were set to 2 grams. There is no tonearm height adjustment on this Denon . But it wasn't an issue with this cartridge anyway.Fired it up and played 180gram edition of Little Feat Waiting for Columbus. It's one of the best live recorded albums I've ever heard and I'm very familiar with the quality of the recording. It just blew me away! The cartridge need to be broken in still. But, right out of the gate. The detail, depth, soundstage and separation is incredible for this price point. Needs some time to break in. But, not overly harsh or boomy. After only a few hours the bass was smoothing out and getting flatter and linear through the its range. Highs were smoothing out also. Not that they were bad to begin with. I've set up an ortofon blue before and it took quite a while to settle down. Not this cartridge. I'm expecting it to continue to improve over the next few days of listening. But, it sounds great now!I very much like Audio Technica cartidges. So, I may be a bit biased. I heard my first one in 1975 and have never been disappointed. Ive tried others and always seem to come back to AT. So, if you like a flat, natural, linear sounding cartridge through its bandwidth at this price point, This one is a fine performer.
