It is a unique colored sweet potato that is reddish purple inside, and the most consumed potato in Okinawa. The purple color contains polyphenol which has antioxidant effect, used for cooking, sweets such as cake and ice cream, cosmetic, and other various uses.I have started Japanese Sweet Potatoes in seven half-whiskey barrel containers. I got just as much yield from the container as I did from a Raised Bed, but it was so much easier to harvest the Okinawan Sweet Potatoes in the container. It would take me a over an hour to dig up the Raised Bed and find all of the Japanese Sweet Potatoes.

All sprouted, looking forward to harvest.
Very healthy, all of them sprouted and looking forward to a great harvest. Just a tip, the ones we sprouted using a heat mat under a container with potting soil are 3 times larger and doing great. .

No packing, tubers brushed & molded
Planed to sprout not sure it will be possible. Some tubers brushed and molded. Many had been cut off during harvesting I assume. Quality and packing was subpar.

Extremely overpriced, got 4 sweet potatoes and one that was cut in half. Not sure if the price was determined by weight or number of pieces. In the product description it said 4 sets!
